I used to read 2 books a month before I started homeschooling. Now that it's Summer, Marcus is in a Summer Reading Program, I thought I would have one for me. I get a manicure after I read 10 books, a Starbuck's mocha frappacino when I read another 10 and so on.
My first book is "Life Lessons for Women - 7 Essential Ingredients for a Balanced Life" by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.
I decided to start my Summer Reading program with this book because
it's from the creators of "Chicken Soup for The Soul" series. I
enjoyed reading their books while going through painful rehab. This
book not only includes stories but provides practical advice following
each story. It's a perfect size to carry in your handbag or purse,
and read a story, while waiting to pick up your kids.
I usually give my books away when I'm done but this one will stay in
my personal library for those quick pick me ups. Instead, I'm
planning on purchasing one for all my girlfriends.
