Marcus' Job Shadowing Opportunity at Old Navy

Marcus has secured a spot in the Job Shadowing Opportunity at our local Old Navy Store. He will have the opportunity to get a first hand look at retail sales and management. The program offers orientation and training program, shadowing at the register, receiving and stocking, merchandising and managerial. He'll experience a Old Navy employee's work day. This will give him the opportunity to see if this is a possible career choice for him.

You can create your own job shadowing opportunites by contacting businesses and explaining that you would like your teen to experience the job for the day. For more information, visit, http://www.groovejob.com/resources/job-shadowing/. Sondra Clark has a book on her experiences of job shadowing. She provides tips on pursuing your own job shadowing opportunites, dressing correctly, taking notes and more. You can purchase it right on her website or check with your local public library for a copy.

There are also Job Shadowing Programs offered by organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs. Contact your's in your local area.

edHelper.com - Rona's Pick for Homeschoolers

edHelper is an online subscription service that provides printable worksheets to teachers and homeschooling parents. The site offer K through High School. They offer a wide range of materials, including math, language arts, reading and writing, social studies, science, and much more!

I really love this site because it offers printable worksheets for Middle and High School Students. There's lessons, quizzes, and test. The site does offer free samples but for $19.99 a year why not subscribe? I ended up doing just that.

Customer Service Tip: Attend TeleSeminars

Many of the great customer service and business tips that I post about are from teleseminars, that I've attended. I was wondering how many of you are taking advantage of this great way to learn and expand your business? They are convenient, since you do not have to leave your home. Usually they are free but full of valuable information.

WomenCEO Network is one of my favorites. Felicia Davis, Founder and CEO, gets some great speakers, such as the Wealthy Bag Lady. You get tools that you can immediately use in your business. She has a teleseminar about every month. You will need to purchase a membership. You can get more information, by visting her site, http://www.women-ceo.com

Kelly McCausey, wahmtalkradio.com, is offering the Hot Summer Seminar Series For Moms. She has weekly speakers, covering topics on internet and affiliate marketing, finding balance in work and home and Summer recipes. You can sign up and get weekly topic information, by visiting her site, http://www.wahmtalkradio.com
