Wanna Make Homemade Tortillas? - The Life of a Simple Wife

Marcus and I recently informed Charles that we will be giving homemade tortillas a try. After all, Charles grew up eating his mother's homemade flour tortillas. He still comments on how delicious they were.

Now I see that I'm not alone. The Life of a Simple Wife recently took on the task. Stop and view the photos, as well as get the homemade recipe.

Looking for Extra Money? - Try Pinecone Research

About a year ago, after reading a post, on Work Place Like Home, I decided to join an online consumer research company, called Pinecone Research. After you register and your application is accepted, you are sent a user id and password. Your surveys are sent to your email address. Occasionally, products will be mailed to you to test. Sometimes, other household members will be asked to fill out surveys. And best of all, you're paid $5 for each completed survey!

Today, I received another $5 check, from Pinecone Research! I think I'll treat myself to a mocha frappacino at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Menu Plan Monday - May 7

Saturday, we attended the Union Tribune Race for Literacy event. Marcus was volunteering again, for the Kids Mile. This year, he was a Line Checker, making sure people stayed on the path. It was a gorgeous day, fun watching the kids participate and we got our exercise in for the day.

This week, we have tickets to 'Our Town' and to a ballet performance. Our church's high school drama club is putting it the play. And our homeschool group has been invited to the ballet. Marcus is going to participate in paintball with his youth church group, this weekend. So it will be quiet and not much clean up that day.

I also attended the Ultimate Homeschool Expo 2007, an online event, held last week. There were plenty of terrific guests and topics. The other great feature was the opportunity to listen to the audio at your convenience.
