Winding Down The School Year

Marcus and I are looking forward to the remainding 5 weeks of school. He's finished his tennis season so no more practice or games. And his study group sessions end on June 5. We'll be wrapping up the school year with some reading comp and writing exercises, courtesy of edHelper.com. I did this last year and it was a great success. Marcus even requested that I use them this year.

I just select a few based on English, Physics, Music and Spanish. He's learning while being entertained. Sometimes, the news or a movie will dictate what topics I select. Recently, my husband and I introduced him to 'Due South'. Marcus wanted to learn more about Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounties. So, I did a search on both topics and found several writing and reading comp worksheets.

edHelper.com is a terrific resource for homebased educators and homeschoolers. You'll find several free worksheets but for only $29.95 a year, you'll have full access, for an affordable price.
