When my husband was working in hotel security, he took our son to a 'Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day'. The kids received their own ID's, a tour of the hotel, lunch and then an opportunity to shadow their parents. Our teenage son still talks about his experience with dad, at work, fondly.
April 24, Thursday, is Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Whether you work at home or outside, the opportunity allows your child to see what mom or dad does, the value of education and work skills.
Since we work at home, as Self Storage Property Managers, our son does see what's involved in our job. He's our IT Guy and completes many special projects at the property.
