Your relationship has be pretty solid before you start working together. No, "Will I be paid more if I'm doing more of the work?" No, "What happens if I want to quit?"
Those are both red flags.

One of my favorites is keeping a notebook of things you want to achieve in your business. You can use it as a reference as you meet them. Also, you can look at it monthly or yearly for any adjustments.
