Yesterday, we had a terrific visit from some of our current and former customers. (aka neighbors) We sat around drinking coffee, catching up and laughing.

I realized that I'm truly going to miss these chats. Several of our customers have become great friends over the year and a half. They've seen Marcus grow up and even celebrated his sixteenth birthday. We had fun throwing a Memorial Day cookout. A few even attended our renewal ceremony, last October.

Yes, I realize that we're going to miss you guys! You're more then customers...you're our neighbors!

Jimmy Dean D'Light Sandwiches - Product Recommendation

Jimmy Dean D'Light Whole Wheat English Muffin, Turkey Sausage and Egg White Sandwich

My husband thinks the Jimmy Dean D'Light commercial is really cute and memorable. The rainbow is colorless because she's eating a healthy cereal. The sun offers her a Jimmy Dean D'Light Sandwich and her color returns! Yeah!

I decided to give these breakfast sandwiches a try. After all, we have high cholesterol and he has diabetes. And we like a quick breakfast, especially on our work days.

We're recommending them for a quick and healthy breakfast. The turkey sausage could be more favorable but it does fit the bill. But this former Friendly's cook can make a better, filling breakfast whole wheat english muffin, egg white, turkey sausage sandwich. It's just that this gal doesn't have the time!

Earache My Eye! Ugh! Those Pain Issues!

I've been up and down since midnight because of my pain level. A severe pounding headache woke me up so I immediately took a pain med, started drinking some water, took a few bites of a banana and prayed.

Then my sciatica in my left leg and the pinch nerve in my neck made it impossible to find a comfortable sleeping position.

It is getting more difficult to get a night's sleep. But I keep on going, praying to our Heavenly Father for support and trying to find time to give my body the rest it needs.

Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce - BES Series

My hubby and I attended this month's Business Education Series, Relationship Selling Workshop with Jim Carthart at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. We got a late start because we accidentially slept in! Ugh! But figured we had plenty of time since check-in and networking was from 7am-7:30am.

When we finally arrived we discovered that they were starting the workshop at
7:30am. We had enough time to grab a quick cup of coffee and breakfast before they announced the speaker.

Mr. Cathart is well known for his natural selling style and listening for buying clues. I have to say that this is our selling style as well. But it doesn't hurt to brush up on one's skills.

On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate it as a 3. It was too much info for a one hour workshop. Charles commented that it should have started at 8am as stated. (he hates to arrive late)

Now, I have to head to Amazon.com to purchase the book. Have a terrific sales day!

On this move we decided to use glass and dish packing kits, on this move. We have some beautiful Crate and Barrel Work Glasses that are a family favorite.

The kits include a cell divider, that separates and isolates your glasses and dishes and reusable foam pouches. At our store location, they're sold for $6.99-$7.99 each plus sales tax.

Our teen assembles the dividers, places it inside a small box, then he and I place each glass inside the foam pouch and place it inside it's compartment.

These kits are great for other small breakables, such as home decor items.

More People Leaving Califorinia - Who Can Blame Them

When we left California, in 2007, I think we thought this would be a short leave and we would return soon. After all it was our home for 14 years, lots of family activities, HMOs and beautiful weather.

In 2008, California has increased their sales tax, will be issuing IOUs for sales tax returns and now has experienced the largest amount of people leaving the state. Many state offices will now be closed two Fridays a month.

I pray that the state will recover soon. Many of us would love to return but without the sense of job security, state benefits and affordable housing we will have to continue to stay away.

Moving and Packing Tips - About.com

You would think with all the moving and packing experience between my childhood and our family moving three times in one year we wouldn't need a refresher course. Well, we do. And we have to do it while we're working fulltime, Marcus finishing his first semester and my usual pain management issues.

Charles and Marcus started packing our kitchen items that aren't use daily. This time we labeled the boxes on the sides and top so we can find things easier. You can use colorful labels or a permanent marker. This is a great time saver.

I'm planning on replacing all of our cookware with Green Pans this year!
