I loved the very intimate seating and fun decor. We were immediately greeted and seated by the restaurant manager.
Charles ordered the Pulled Pork dinner. The dish comes with two sides, he ordered the Collard Greens and the Hush Puppies. We liked the Collard
Greens, they were flavorful and hot but the remainder of the dish was disappointing.
Marcus and Charles was disappointed in the "famous recipe" sauces that they had available. First of all, the barbeque sauce was vinegar based, which is fine, but it would be nice to have a seperate choice of a tomato based sauce. They felt that it lacked any real personality, it lacked flavor and zip.
Marcus had the night's winner - the Barbacued Burger. He said it was pretty good.
And as for me, the next time I'm looking for some terrific Green Beans I know where to go. But, not worth a second visit des…
