What's Your Favorite Bagel Flavor?

Since I was originally introduced to them in Maine, over 20 years ago, I'm a huge fan of PumpernickelBagels. I love the chewy, nutty taste of them. And it taste even better when they're toasted.

What's your favorite bagel flavor?

Finding Freedom at Cents to Get Debt-Free

Store Bought vs Making Your Own at Cents to Get Debt-Free

In our case, the reason behind making many foods from scratch and non-processed, is due to health reasons. My husband is a diabetic and I have high blood pressure. I also realized the best benefit...they do taste better!

Due to working 50+ hours a week and being a chronic pain sufferer I don't make anything else from scratch. I do look for good prices, promotions and shop online.

Wordless Wednesday - Gathering Room

Our Home Office in our Gathering Room

Our Guest Bathroom

I wanted to decorate our guest bathroom by using items that we already have.

The sign, above the mirror, was my only expense, purchased from Nese's at

Just because we're only living in this apartment for a year doesn't mean one doesn't want to be comfortable in their home.

Our Gathering Room - Apartment Living

A Different View of Our Gathering Room.
We're planning on purchasing a floor lamp, end tables, a couple of bookcases and this room is done.

I found some possible choices at Target, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel.

My husband told me that he felt the room was becoming clutter. He's asked me not to purchase any additional knick knacks. I'm actually in agreement with him. It's no fun packing up those little items...very time consuming.

Menu Plan Monday - March 23, 2009

Autumn Theme Renewal Ceremony Paper Bag Scrapbook courtesy of Precocious Paper at and Cake Topper from Little Lynn's Creations

Due to a very expensive car repair last week we're now car shopping. It's a journey, due to the newbie driver (Marcus), the monthly payment and his height. Our first insurance quote was $1440.00 a month. You just gotta love Las Vegas and the young male driver.

Charles and I are attending a dinner on Nellis AFB this week. This is part of our marketing duties, in behalf of the store and the other Las Vegas/Henderson stores. It will be refreshing to hobnob with the military and enjoy a dining out.

Marcus and his friends went to the movies, this Sunday. He gives "Madea Goes to Jail" a big thumbs up.

We have lots of leftovers so we'll be taking a much needed break from cooking. Since we work from home lunches are easily supplied.

Now onto this week's menu. Jump over to Organizing Junkie to join in the fun!

Garlic Lemon Fish, Ranch Beans, Mixed Green Salad

Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roasted Potatoes, Peas & Carrots

It's extremely windy in Vegas today! Allergy sufferers and respiratory sufferers need to eliminate time outside. There's also high humidity so fellow pain sufferers take it easy today!
