How are you keeping positive these days? Our news is full of negative topics, the war, economy, the flu and lots more I don't care to address. It can take a toll on one's mental health.
For me, depression is never faraway, due to my many years of severe chronic pain. But I've also learned some coping tools, along the way, to keep it from swallowing me whole.
I try to focus on our Heavenly Father, everyday and every moment. I'll take the time to pray and offer my troubles, concerns and worries frees me of these huge weights.
Sometimes, I'll grab one of my inspirational books and read a few sentences. Also, since we don't have cable we've discovered several inspirational TV programs.
I also love to appreciate my family, a good laugh, and our plant blooming.
