Quirky and Affordable Planters

Coffee Cup Planter purchased at Walmart Gardening Section

Trailer Planter purchased at Home Depot Gardening Section

I thought I would share my little garden with you. Since we live at a self storage facility we aren't able to have a plot of land to garden. I do love having plants in my work area and have some fun doing it.

My hubby found both of these planters. I really like that they are fun and definitely a conversation starter with the customers.

Happy Birthday to BerryMorins Bits and Tips!

Vinyl Word Decal available at vinylvineyard at Etsy.

On May 17, 2005, I decided to start my blog, BerryMorins Bits and Tips. It's been a continous learning process, fun and rewarding.

When I first started, I originally blogged about my home business, Country Bunny Bath & Body, then moved on to home management, parenting, homeschooling and working from home as a Virtual Customer Service Representative. These days I'm focusing more on other interests, as Marcus is approaching his last year of high school and leaving the nest.

In celebration, I decided to have a drawing! I'll be giving away a $25 gift certificate from vinylvineyard at Etsy.com.

Just leave a comment during the month of May, on June 1, 2009 I'll pull a name!

Menu Monday Plan - May 4, 2009

It's getting hotter in Las Vegas so it's time for me to buy those non-disposable water bottles. No need to add to the landfills with those plastic bottles.

We don't have any place for a garden but we do have an African Jasmine plant named Dave. He has a prominent spot at the store entrance. He's about to bloom his beautiful white flowers. (I cannot wait) I'm thinking of purchasing some container plants this week to place in front of the store.

Charles is scheduled for his root canal on Wednesday so the menu is sandwiches and soups. Enough gabby, now onto this week's menu!

Middle Eastern Sandwiches with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce, Coleslaw

Fish Sandwiches, Oven Fries

Marcus' Real Simple Lasagna (didn't make it last week)

Chicken Fajitas

Minestrone

Chef Salad

A Program About Unusual Buildings and Other Stuff - DVD Recommendation

Charles and I really enjoyed watching the last few minutes of this PBS special so much that we decided to add it to our Netflix queue.

My favorite building was the Wonder Works building, in Florida. There's so much to see on the outside and lots to do inside. My husband just loved the Clam Box...or was it the clams?

Review courtesy of Netflix:

Tour guide Rick Sebak sets out to find some of the most irresistibly kitschy roadside buildings in America. Built to lure tourists off the highway and hopefully into the mood to spend money, buildings such as the Big Duck on Long Island, the Clam Box in Ipswich, Mass., and the World's Largest Catsup Bottle in Collinsville, Ill., definitely catch the eye. Sebak also visits the hot-dog-shaped Tail o' the Pup in West Hollywood, among others.

This DVD is a fun one to enjoy with the family too! So, get your lawn chairs out and enjoy the road trip!

Would You Do a Realty TV Series?

I'm just catching up on the news regarding Jon & Kate. People are stating that Kate is a shrew and Jon probably wouldn't have been caught if he wasn't on TV.

I wonder if they wish they never starting doing the show?

Knowing what you've read and heard from regular people doing these "realty TV shows...the good and bad, would you do a realty TV series?
