Outpatient Drug Rehab - Keep Me in Your Prayers

I may be crying inside some days but the Heavenly Father is keeping me propped up during those dark moments. After 9 years of taking an opiod I decided to scale back. My ultimate goal is to get off them.

Remember that you have to go through the journey to be set free. Keep praying daily or in my case through out the day.

I Love Pancakes and Waffles - Box or Scratch?

In celebration, I decided to have a drawing! I'll be giving away a $25 gift certificate from vinylvineyard at Etsy.com.

Just leave a comment during the month of May, on June 1, 2009 I'll pull a name!

I just love Pancakes and Waffles. I think the love affair started when my dad would treat us to breakfast at IHop Restaurants. Their pancakes were delicious!

These days, I like to make them from scratch. They taste better and I know what ingredients are in the mix. (no sugar)

So, do you make your's from scratch or know of a killer box mix?

Digital TV is Coming! Are You Ready?

A View of Our Apartment

In celebration, I decided to have a drawing! I'll be giving away a $25 gift certificate from vinylvineyard at Etsy.com.

We've been putting off purchasing new digital TVs but now the timer has been set. We also found out that we need to purchase a digital antennae. The hubby and I have decided that we have to purchase one no later June 10 or go without TV viewing.

I did look into cable but we're out of their area of service. Satellite has too many requirements. Both are very expensive!

So, are you ready for the digital age?

Works for Me Wednesday - Daily System Calendars

This busy family needs to know what events and tasks are planned for the day. Working together, medical appointments, Marcus' school and extra curricular activities makes scheduling challenging.

To keep everyone on top of it, including me, I purchased two Magnetic Calendars and Top Display Bars, from Pottery Barn. They're highly functionable, as well as stylish, and sturdy.

This is why the Daily System Calendars, from Pottery Barn, works for us!

We Love "Zits"!

Marcus' Size 15s

Marcus with his favorite daily accessories

Have you ever read "Zits"? It's a comic about a teenager named Jeremy and his constantly challenged parents daily lives.

Charles and I love reading it and have felt that the writer has a camera in our home.

Even our assistant manager, who reads it, will comment that our family must be the inspiration for the writer.

Our family loves "Zits"!

The Hubby and I

On Mother's Day, the hubby and I joined our friends for some bowling at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. I amazed myself with a final score of 219, Charles bowled 235 and even Maika ended up with 220!

Did we mention that we used the bumpers? Well, it was a fun night spent with good friends.

Mother's Day Flower Bouquet from the Hubby and the Teen

Don't forget to leave a comment during the month of May! BerryMorins Bits and Tips is celebrating four years of blogging with a drawing!

Ladies, I hope that you had a terrific Mother's Day! Even though the hubby and I had to work it was a beautiful day, in our neighborhood.

The hubby and teen had a gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered on Thursday, from Proflowers. Did you know that FedEX deliveries flowers? I sure didn't. But it was fun having our regular FedEX delivery guy present them to me, in our store.

On Sunday morning we went to iHop for breakfast. We're big fans of the pancakes. Mmm! I decided to customize my omelette and chose egg substitute and the fresh veggies and salsa! Shout out to Gabby, our waitress, for the fantastic service!

After work Charles and I met friends at The Orleans Casino and Hotel for a couple games of bowling and dinner at TGIF.

Well, enough about the festivities. I hope that you had a great day too! Thanks to Organizing Junkie for hosting Menu Plan Mondays.

Do You Twitter? Is It a Fad?

Don't forget to leave a comment during the month of May! BerryMorins Bits and Tips is celebrating four years of blogging with a drawing!

My hubby was talking about an article that he read that states Twitter is just a passing fad. (mmm, I think they said the same thing about personal computers, cellphones, ect.)

Our teenager, aka Current Techno, states he's never heard of it. My husband and I showed him an example. He then announces he's too busy texting to be bothered.

So are you Twittering or taking a pass?
