Extra Cootie Catchers? What Do I Do With Them?

Cootie Catchers from etsy.com

I had a few Cootie Catchers left over from our renewal ceremony. So, what do I do with them? I decided to fold them and place them in this glass jar, that I purchased from Micheal's Arts and Crafts.

Now I can display them while keeping them clean.

So, What are You Cooking From Scratch?

Charles' Homemade Guacamole and Chips

So, what are you cooking from scratch?

It seems many of you have been busying creating some delicious recipes.

Lucy's Life has posted her Homemade Tomato Sauce.

Living on Love has a link to make your own jam. Just in time for all those strawberries.

Archie Has Proposed to....Veronica!

I want to thank everyone who commented on my question, Betty or Veronica ~ Who should Archie marry?

It seems that Archie has chosen Veronica, per The CBS Evening News. Congratulations Veronica. Betty, good luck in your future.

"M" from Vinylvineyard at Etsy.com

We put this one right outside of Marcus' room. Our walls are white and the doors are the same. I don't want to purchase furniture and wall hangings. The wall decals are fresh, fun and removable.

This one was purchased from my favorite online store, vinylvineyard at etsy.com.

Latest Scrapbook Project - Planning Our Renewal Ceremony

Our renewal ceremony invitation purchased from VistaPrint.

I decided to do something with the extra invitations, clippings and notes. My plan is to create a scrapbook which will include these items, journaling and some photos.

It was fun browsing the scrapbooking area of Walmart. I loved looking at the stickers, ribbons and tools. I tried to keep my spending around $20 and was successful.

What craft projects are you working on?

Lastest Status on Outpatient Rehab

It hasn't been going well. I need my fourth pill, to deal with the pain and the stress, anxiety and depression are always there.

If I didn't have to work I could put my whole self into kicking my addiction.
I think what I need is inpatient rehab. I'm hoping that won't be too off in the future.

In the meantime, I want to thank everyone for their prayers and positive words. The Heavenly Father has really helped me through these rough days. I actually feel like he's answered my prayers.

Menu Plan Monday - May 25, 2009

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Please thank active and retired military for their service to our country.

First, go see "Star Trek" with your hubby! Here's a movie that you'll both love. I felt it was a slow start but once the action got going it didn't slow down. Don't forget to treat him to a soda and a bucket of popcorn.

Our teen saw "X-Men Origins: Woverine" with his friends. He said it was great.

Hubby and I spent some time playing the penny slots at "The Cannery Casino". I was up $1.50 and then lost it all. My $2 bet kept us busy for almost an hour!

I found that this casino wasn't as smokey as The Orleans. We definitely found a new movie theater.

Cooking for People Who Have Dietary Requirements

I remember when it was a difficult to shop and cook for someone who had dietary requirements like diabetes. But since my husband has been diagnosed, over ten years ago, I've notice more food products available in the grocery stores. (and they do taste good)

I've also found online recipe sites that have delicious recipes that our whole family can enjoy.

One of my favorites for work night meals is Kraft Foods. Their Healthy Living section offers main courses and desserts.

For summer grilling ideas check out the Pineapple-Chicken Kabobs! I would just add some brown rice and mixed green salad to round out the meal.
