I Found A Chicken Salad And I'm In Love!

Charles brought home a yummy chicken salad sandwich from Von's yesterday, for lunch. It was on Artisian bread with green leaf lettuce, firm slice of tomato, and red onion.

I'm picky about my chicken salad but the sandwich did look good. And after one bite I discovered it was. I found my new favorite chicken salad sandwich!

Von's regular size sandwiches are around $5 and make a nice change from the typical lunch fair.

Also, the Signature Cafe Sandwich Club ~ use your Von's Club Card ~ buy 7 sandwiches and the 8th sandwich is free!

Round Table Pizza - Restaurant Recommendation

On the last day of school, we take Marcus to his restaurant choice. This year he decided on Round Table Pizza.

Charles and I were looking forward to dinner since we hadn't been in over two years.

I had a King Arthur personal pizza. Charles ordered a Maui Zaui, medium. Marcus had the Ultimate Meat, large.

We all liked the pizzas but the bill was reflective of a sitdown restaurant.
Now I know why we haven't been there in over 2 years.

Our Prayers and Thoughts - Air France

It's been a tough week...first the Air France flight that fell out of the sky and a good friend is in hospice.

Please say a prayer for all of those who are suffering with loss and pending loss. May they find comfort in our Heavenly Father's words.

June 12, 2009 - Are You Ready?

"Law and Order" on TNT

I posted about the digital TV signal change on June 12, 2009 last month. Many of you were still deciding. (like me) Well, we finally made some decisions.

We became digital TV subscribers two weeks ago. Man, I forgot how much I enjoy watching "The Closer" and the older "Law and Order".

On Tuesday, we're also purchasing a new TV for our bedroom. It's time. I think our TV is 10 years old!

Now I need to find a way to recycle our old TV. Thank goodness for the Internet...I'm sure we'll find a recycle program.

"Nero Wolfe TV Series: Second Season" - DVD Recommendation

About once a year, Marcus and I will get an overload of our favorite TV shows.

We just finished watching 'Nero Wolfe TV Series: Second Season' starring Timothy Hutton and Maury Chaykin. The episodes are based on the 'Nero Wolfe' books by Rex Stout. If you're looking for an old fashion who dunn it this DVD series is for you. The writing, acting and direction remind me of a well done performance. Our teenage son boasted, after watching one DVD of the series, several years ago, that he was hooked.

His favorite character is Archie Goodwin, played by Timothy Hutton. Marcus states that he likes Archie because he's smart, knows how to handle the ladies and can handle himself in any physical altercation. He also makes frequent comments of loving the style of dress, language and technology. (remember rotary phones)

Nero Wolfe, played by Maury Chaykin, will have you reaching for your dictionary. But, yeck, that's part of the fun of watching this series.

I feel fortunate to have been a Working Mom Outside of the Home, a Stay at Home Mom and a Work At Home Mom. What a fun and crazy ride this has been!

I recently realized that our Heavenly Father, wanted me to discovery that I was meant to be a mom and wife. And you know what? I truly love it!

My passion has been parenting our son and being a supportive spouse, these 17 years. At each "working stage", both have been challenging and demanding but it was the right choice for me and our family.

When your 17 year old son tells you that you've been a great mom and still gives you hugs, you know you've done some thing right. And isn't that our goal...to raise them into Godly men and women...to go out on their own?

I want to let all the moms out there know that there is no right or wrong.

Let's quit beating up on each other and ourselves and support each other's choice.

And this is why supporting moms works for me!

They're making a comeback. I actually found them on Esty.com when I was searching for programs.
