I decided to look into part time retail work and managed to get two interviews lined up. It's been two years since my last interview so I'll be brushing up with some online resources.
In the meantime, I'm still applying for full and part time Remote Call Center Customer Service work, in the local area. And the husband has an interview for a government job, working in the small claims court system. (the same job he did in San Diego)
We'll be moving out to our new apartment tomorrow so I'll catch up with you when I can.
Keep the faith!

Unemployment Journey - So Far

My Husband Rocks Long Sleeve T-shirt available at UNION28
The addition of packing, moving, filing unemployment insurance and looking for a new job has been keeping me extremely busy.
Being unemployed during a recession can create much uncertainity. But it can also give one opportunities. I've gotten alot of support and reassurance from Monster's Advice Forum. Many people have noted that even though they were shocked, upset or/and depressed when they first lost their jobs they have found many rewards from their experience. Whether it's volunteer work, part time work, in a different field or spending more time with spouse and family they have discovered something enlightening and freeing.
I now have the TIME to deal with my fibro! My doctor and I are discussing alternative methods such as diet, vitamins and minerals to help me get a hold on it. He's a Believer, as well, so we've also spoken about faith and scripture.
I was able to help Marcus with his homework yesterday. It was reminded me of why we brought him home four years ago.
And my husband and I are able to be much closer these days. We've actually been laughing more, taking walks with Toby, The Wonder Dog and just hanging out.
It's been one week that we were fired. It's been a great week!

Have you ever used a resume writing service? Would you make a recommendation? What tips would you give before hiring a service?
Today's Notable Blogging Posts
I wanted to share some of today's notable blogging posts. The following standout because they made me ponder, share the blogger's views with my husband and son and created some family conversation.
Cutie Booty Cakes shares the question that's on most women's minds ~ Work Life Balance - Does such a thing exist?
My Little Happy Place shares some photos of beautiful and colorful british made refrigerators by SMEG. You have to take a look but be warned the colors will make you smile!
My Happy Place gets a second nod for posting about a celebrity couple who have purchased two connecting homes and are remodeling them to become one. After they're done they'll have 33 rooms! I don't know about you but that's too much home for this gal.
Well, that's enough of a blogging break for this gal. I've got Dr. Laura's radio show on in the background and lots of packing to do!
