We'll Miss You Toby!

We dropped Toby off at the shelter last night. He had an infection in his foot and we're not able to pay for it.

We'll miss him very much!

We Attended Our First Career Fair!

Charles and I attended our first Career Fair at the Texas Station Casino yesterday. We were full of excitement and abit nervous. I had visions of hundreds of companies, in a large ballroom with lots of noise from chatter and on-going interviews.

NOT! This was a gathering of private local colleges with 2 companies. We heard people complaining as we were heading towards the ballroom. I decided to approach two ladies and ask them about the event. They were very disappointed and felt misled. Big 5 and a local radio station were the only companies hiring. Their conclusion ~ It was a waste of time!

Charles and I decided to still attend since we were already at the casino. We did interview with Big 5 Sporting Goods. They're currently hiring for Manager Trainees, in Las Vegas/Henderson.

I now proud to say that we have our first Career Fair and interview, under our belts and are prepared to attend today's event at The Palms.

The Diversity Career Expo will start at noon on Thursday, September 3, 2009. It's recommended to bring resumes and dress in business attire.

Ugh! Living With Fibromyalgia

I'm focusing on part time work due to my fibro condition. The bouts of exhaustion and extreme pain have been horrible.

I'm no longer taking fibro medication. (had a terrible reaction to it) And the expense is beyond my reach. I have started taking B16 and cutting back on the caffiene. It will be a month or two before I see if there's any improvement.
