Marcus Got a Job! Yupee!

ps I need to get some newer photos of our teen

Yes, our teen got his first non-family job yesterday! He's been volunteering at our local rec center, for 2 years. Over time, we've gotten to know the staff there.

They offered him a part time paying counselor job!

He was so cute, calling us yesterday to get assistance filling out his W-4.

Charles and I are very proud of our little worker!

Speaking of Bras - How to Measure for the Right Bra Size

When was the last time you actually measured yourself for a bra? Me...ah, I think 2 years! Well, I decided to take a few measurements before placing my bra order. After all, we spend a lot of hours in these puppies. Don't you want to be comfortable?

Better yet, include hubby in with the measurements. Mine, actually jumped from his comfortable chair for the opportunity to help me out. lol

Saving Money on Your Laundry - Feeding Four

High water and electric bills can really sink the family budget. One area I know I've been overlooking is the laundry.

Feeding Four has a post on How to Save Money When Doing Your Laundry.

Here's one great money tip, like hand washing your underthings. I like to wash my bras out and hand drying them. Did you know that it actually extends the life of your bras?

Another idea that Feeding Four stated is to wear your clothes more then once before washing them. I will wear my jeans a few times before throwing them in the laundry basket.

Thank You for Answering My Prayers!

I'm so glad that my former employer fired me! Yes, the Heavenly Father answered my prayers on August 21, 2009!

I'm glad that I learned how to live a frugal life. I got to meet so many awesome frugal bloggers. People from my church reached out and blessed our lives last year.

I've been so humbled.

And the Heavenly Father has answered my prayers by bringing me a much better job, better pay, benefits and the ability to work from home!

Yes, there are times we wonder will our prayers be answered. Please keep in mind that it is He who decides how and when they will be answered. Not us!

Stay strong in your faith! We are all so blessed! Thank you for answering my prayers!

Menu Plan Monday - February 1, 2010

Still praise the Heavenly Father during your times of trials and tribulations! So many people want to give up when they loss material things.

What a terrific sermon at The Church at South Las Vegas last night! I really enjoy attending their online interactive service on Sunday nights.

I'm on my second week of training and am loving my job! It's great to be working for a very large national company again. (and from home) My medical, dental, vision and life insurance contribution is less then what I paid for my health insurance, when working for my former employer. I realize I'm not meant to work for a small mom and pop company.

Our son's distance school is having a job fair on Friday. The unemployment rate is 13.4% in Las Vegas! It's actually higher then the state of Nevada!

Now onto this week's menu plan. Thanks to Organizing Junkie for hosting MPM.

Chicken and Vegetable Soup

Pizza

Oven Baked Pork Chops, Rice and Zucchini

Baked Ham, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

Grilled Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup
