Looks like West Corporation is back in the news this week. The state of Nebraska is considering opening up their training funds to companies, like West Corporation. This would also provide others the opportunity to work at home in customer service.

Subway Restaurant Gift Card Giveaway

In honor of Marcus, our teen, getting his first non-family job I thought I would treat him to a week's worth of lunches.

I decided to buy a $25 Subway Gift Card and will also be giving away a $25 Subway Gift Card to one lucky BerryMorin Bits and Tips blogger!

I'm going to keep this entry rules simple, just leave a comment at this post from March 6, 2010 to March 13, 2010. I'll be cutting off the entries at 8 am PST on March 13, 2010, Saturday.

California Worker Volunteers for Layoff to Save Colleague's Job - ABC News

This is a great inspirational story regarding letting something go for someone else to gain.

Enjoying the Nero Wolfe A&E Series on DVD

About once a year, Marcus and I will get an overload of Nero Wolfe A&E series.

We just finished watching 'Nero Wolfe TV Series: Second Season' starring Timothy Hutton and Maury Chaykin. The episodes are based on the 'Nero Wolfe' books by Rex Stout. If you're looking for an old fashion who dunn it this DVD series is for you. The writing, acting and direction remind me of a well done performance. Our teenage son boasted, after watching one DVD of the series, several years ago, that he was hooked.

His favorite character is Archie Goodwin, played by Timothy Hutton. Marcus states that he likes Archie because he's smart, knows how to handle the ladies and can handle himself in any physical altercation. He also makes frequent comments of loving the style of dress, language and technology. (remember rotary phones)

Nero Wolfe, played by Maury Chaykin, will have you reaching for your dictionary. But, yeck, that's part of the fun of watching this series.

Just Finished Making a Lasagna - Now Onto The Pork Roast

Our living room - of course I've moved things around again!

I actually felt a little energetic after work so I decided to work on some meal ideas.

We got both the lasagna and 2 pork roasts from Angel Food Ministries. First, I popped in a lasagna, which took an hour. Now, I'm working on a Pork Roast.

My hubby greeted me with a "When it's going to be ready?" when he got home this evening.

And I know our teen will be checking out the fridge and oven when walks through the door.

Also, by preparing these two items I won't have to cook much for a couple of days.

Thanks MPM participants for the inspiration and meal idea!

Stressballs - My Two New Friends

When I worked in brick and mortar call centers my employers would pass out stress balls for various promotions and incentives, through out the year. They would definitely get a workout. And I would go through them pretty quickly.

Now, that I have returned to working at home I've been wanting a stress ball. It's a must have for those rough phone calls.

I found this fun website, Office Playground. They have some funny stress balls to help you deal with those rough customers.

My Home Office Space

I thought I would share a few photos of my work area with you. Kudos to the hubby and teen for setting it up for me. Of course, I had to add some family favorite photos and cute stress balls.

Las Vegas nor Nevada can force the casinos to pay any more money. They have given gaming all the power. They run things in this state.
