Affordable Graduation Announcements Available at VistaPrint

We utilized VistaPrint for our renewal ceremony invitations and envelopes a few years ago. The quality of the paper and ink were amazing. And we did it all for under $40!

So, for Marcus' high school graduation announcements I decided to return to VistaPrint.

I found that they're still offering a variety of card and envelope designs, along with savings!

We highly recommend their website if you're in the market for special event cards but looking to save some money.

19 Ideas to Steal for Your Apartment: Ideas for Apartments, Condos, and Rentals

19 Ideas to Steal for Your Apartment: Ideas for Apartments, Condos, and Rentals

As we are planning on moving in June our family is looking at budget wise and decorative ways to decorate.

Courtesy of Better Homes and Gardens here's one of my favorite home office space tips!

These tips are if the home office space is in the living room.

Mount open shelving the length of the room all the way to ceiling.

-- Rest a glass top or melamine sheet over short file cabinets, then cover with fabric and hook-and-loop tape to create a long desktop.

-- Coordinate boxes, binders, and files with your overall color scheme.

-- Hide printers, faxers, and other electronics beneath the desk.

I Start My Work Day at 3:30am on Monday - Yikes!

Yes, I'll be getting up at 3:30am for a 4am start time. One of the blessings is that I don't have to get dressed or drive to work.

Many of you may not know that I work for a telecommunications company, at home, who's based on the east coast.

I do want to sleep in this weekend but I'm think of waking up early so it's not too much of a shock on Monday!

Marcus Picked Up His Cap and Gown - Our Little One is Graduating!

It was proud moment when our son tried on his cap and gown for my husband and I yesterday. We just couldn't stop smiling and hugging each other.

Twelve years of nagging, spending money on tutors, school supplies and long nights completing school projects is finally coming to an end!

And that's when we notice a huge smile on our son's face. He told us that he realized how much this event meant to us.

I got a little emotional too.

ps I'll definitely be sharing photos of his special day!

Tuna Burgers Were So Good Paula Deen!

My mother used to make tuna burgers when I was little. I do remember that were really good.

So, when I was considering some options for a can of tuna our teenager reminding me of Paula Deen's tuna burger recipe that he really wanted to try out!

We found this recipe very easy to assemble and prepare. Note: We didn't use pimento or horseradish and it was still delicious! We'll definitely make these again.

* 2 (6-ounce) cans solid white tuna, drained
* 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
* 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
* 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
* 1 tablespoon chopped pimento, optional
* 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
* 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine the tuna, bread crumbs, and egg, and stir lightly. Add the onion, celery, pimento (if using), lemon juice, horseradish, garlic, and pepper, and mix again. Form the mixture into 4 patties. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties, covered, until golden brown. Carefully flip the patties and cook the other side for 5 minutes. Finish baking in the oven until golden brown.

The high winds have finally died down in Las Vegas! 50-60 mph is dangerous for high profile vehicles and anyone walking around outside.

I'm starting to feel more like me! Thats a blessing since I am trying to work and adjust to my new medications.

My husband has informed us that he really loves his new job as an Assistant Apartment Manager. We're waiting for an apartment to become available.

Now onto this week's menu, courtesy of Everyday Food magazine and Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger.
