Suicide is Painful
Due to my own suicidal attempt last month I felt the urgency to share this post from December 2009.
Praise and Coffee is sharing this very important post enlight of our horrible economy and how it's effecting men and marriage.
Please take a moment to read it and share it with your blog followers.

Saved $3 at CVS This Weekend!

I've been reading many of your terrific blog posts about your CVS savings. Even Deal Fanatic and I had a brief discussion on how to save at CVS several months ago.
After several trips to CVS, for prescriptions and neccesities, I was told that I received a $3ExtraCare Savings on my purchase.
How cool is that! Now I just need to remember my CVS coupons for more savings.
Julie & Julia - Couple Time

First thing, I really didn't think my husband would be interested in watching Julie & Julia with me today. He likes to call this type of movie a chick flick.
So, when I decided to just select Watch It Instantly this afternoon, I was a little surprised and happy to see that he wanted to watch it too.
Charles says that it was a cute little movie. It even got him interested in Mastering the Art of French Cooking cookbook.
For me, I like how Julie & Julia were able to really expand something that they enjoyed and share it with the masses.
If you haven't seen this movie yet consider borrowing it from your public library, adding it to your DVD queue or watching it instantly at Netflix. It's definitely a two thumbs up!
Finally Treating Myself to a Manicure!

I decided it was time for this well deserving lady to treat herself to a manicure. I've been talking myself out of one even though Charles received his first paycheck last week.
Problem solved ~ Thanks hubby. Since Charles was getting a haircut he asked me to go with him.
When we walked into the beauty salon I notice that they offered manicure and pedicure services. I took one last look at my hands, took a deep breath and inquired about the cost and wait time.
It was the best $12 I spent! It was a joy relaxing while having someone pamper my tired hands and nails.
Next time, I'll spring for a pedicure too!

In Las Vegas we need air conditioning 24 hours/7 days a week during most of the year. Along with rising electric rates, monthly electric bills can become overwhelming.

Hubby is Enjoying His New Fulltime Job!
He's now onto his fourth week and really loving his new job! It also looks like we'll be moving in mid-June. We actually decided to get a 3 bedroom instead of a 2 bedroom. This way I get a home office.
Other benefits for my hubby is that he only has a short walk from our apartment to his office.
Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts during these very difficult months.
We continue to pray for the many unemployed and underemployed people.

Tenants Discover Pitfalls of Paying Rent in Cash - Apartment Living About.com

Our apartment bedroom
These days many rental locations DO NOT accept cash rental payments. Several mistakes can occur such as lost receipts and errors in logging these payments.
Here's a case of tenants, at a Ohio apartment complex looking at possible eviction. It appears they were paying in cash, had no receipts and the former landlord stating that they never received such payments.
Protect yourself by paying with your debit or credit card, cashier's check, personal check and make sure to get a receipt!
