Deal Fanatic Coupon Binder Video

I really enjoy visiting Deal Fanatic! It's jammed pack of helpful money saving tips, coupons and other resources.

You have to check out Daisy's online video where she shows off her coupon binder! You'll also get a quick introduction to her receipt organizer.

I think I'll start this organization project for my household.

Marriage Breaks Up - Do You Get Scared About Your Marriage

This week, after 40 years of marriage Al and Tippor Gore announced that they were separating. One of our family friends have also announced that after 12+ years of marriage they're calling it quits.

My first reaction to the both announcements was how sorry I was to hear the news. Then my own concerns for my marriage popped up.

We've been through many ups and downs in our marriage. Things that have occurred where neither of us thought that we were going to forgive but we did.

Last night my husband and I talked about my concerns. His response was that wasn't going to happen with us. That we would be together till our last breath. He then hugged and gave me a kiss.

What do you think?

School's Out ~ What Are Your Kids Doing This Summer?

Back in the day, when Marcus was little we would enroll him in summer day camp, at our church. He enjoyed swimming, tennis, crafts and visits to Disneyland.

As he got older he had plenty of choices from the Boys and Girls Club, his church youth group and Teen Korps USA.

I was wondering what your summer plans are for your kids? Has the economy affected those plans? If so, what creative ways are you keeping them busy?

If you have teens are they going to be working? Or heading to camp this year?

I look forward to reading your responses!

More High School Graduation Photos!

The singing group did a beautiful job with Star Spangled Banner!

It was a huge crowd that attended the graduation! This photo only shows a 1/4 of those that attended!

Some of the top grade average students sat on stage.

High School Graduation Photos! Just a Few

I actually did pretty well...just shed a few tears, jumped up and down screaming Marcus' name when they announced.

We had some family friends join us for the ceremony. And also caught up with some friends at the graduation.

I'll be posting more later!

Working On a Holiday ~ Thank Goodness It's From Home

When I worked in brick and mortar call centers there were times I had to work a holiday. It was something I did for over 20 years. The pluses were time and 1/2, casual dress code and a smaller group of co-workers.

So, it shouldn't come as a surprise when I say that virtual call centers require their employees to work holidays too!

The pluses are that I get time and 1/2, work at home, enjoy a nice family meal cooked by the hubby!

Apartment Model Tour - Bathroom, Hallway, and Patio

Last Sunday, Marcus, our teen and I met up with my husband for a tour of the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment model. Marcus and I love the layout. And I got lots of decorating ideas.

Here's the second full bathroom. I like the towel displays. And what a cute way to use a plant display!

Here's a nice shot of the counter, hallway to the master bedroom and the laundry room.

My husband is a fan of retro tulip patio chairs.

Finally Sleep Feels So Good!

I used to joke about the fact that I hadn't had a good night's sleep in 10 years. The truth is it's not a laughing matter.

When I was committed to the mental clinic, in April, I was forced to deal with it.

The doctor promptly prescribed 1 Trazodone 100 mg at bedtime. Still after 5 days, that wasn't enough. When they advised me that they wanted to keep me another 2 days I responded with "Why?!" My psychologist said "Because you're still not sleeping."

My dosage was increased. Upon my release I went home took a shower and promptly went to bed. I slept for 13 hours!

These days I no longer look at sleep with fear. I'm able to sleep 8 hours without waking up. I actually look forward to climbing into bed for a good night's sleep.
