You Gotta Have The Right Size Bra For Those Puppies!

When was the last time you actually measured yourself for a bra? Me...ah, I think 2 years! Well, I decided to take a few measurements before placing my bra order at OneHanesPlace. After all, we spend a lot of hours in these puppies. Don't you want to be comfortable?

Better yet, include hubby in with the measurements. Mine, actually jumped from his comfortable chair for the opportunity to help me out. lol

Plan for a Double Dip Recession - Yahoo Finance

Despite the fact that the 3 of us are working we must remember that the Las Vegas economy is still on very shaky ground. Unemployment numbers are around 14% while many think it's actually in the high 20's.

With that said we have to be prepared for possible layoffs and hour reductions, in the future.

Today Yahoo Finance has a fantastic article that I consider a must read for all households.

The plan includes important tips like, saving more, holding off big purchases, downsizing, and staying liquid.

Tips for Renting a Moving Truck Courtesy of Hubby

One of our many moves!

I decided to interview my adorable husband, Charles ~ so here it goes.

Rona: "How do you decide what size truck to rent?"Charles: "UHaul has a terrific guide to follow. For example: 3-4 bedrooms would be a 17' truck but keep in mind how packed your home is. And don't forget about the garage and yard stuff! Go one size up if needed."

Rona: "Why should people add insurance to their truck rental?"
Charles: "Most people have never driven something this large, carrying that much weight. Accidents happen. UHaul states that if you don't have their Super Safemove you will be required to pay for the damage made to the truck upon return. Who needs the extra expense?!"

Rona: "What is it that people should remember about mileage when renting a moving truck?"
Charles: "Here's where people get into trouble. They're only thinking about that daily rate. They start making side trips to run errands maybe even making multiple trips because they didn't rent the right size. UHaul gets their money for the mileage that you drove that truck. Also remember that you need to fill the truck up at the same level you took it out at to avoid additional fees."

Rona: "Is this going to be our last move?"
Charles: "Gosh, I hope so! If we have to move again we'll just leave everything behind!"

Laundry Room Makeover Courtesy of Southern Hospitality

When renting one usually has limitations when it comes to paint and replacing fixtures.

At our new apartment I wanted to add some touches to the laundry room that were little or no cost. So my plan is to utilize some of our decorative pieces, a wall decal and organization items to put some personality into it that room.

For inspiration, I've been looking at some of the blogs that I follow. Here's just a few.

Old Navy - Free Shipping on Orders $75 Or More

One of Marcus' Great Finds at Old Navy

Marcus and I's favorite store to shop is Old Navy!

I love the prices, their casual styles and they have a tall women selection.

Marcus loves that he gets alot of stylish clothes for the money and their online shopping specials.

From now till June 20 you get free shipping on orders $75 or more! Just enter code onfree75 at the checkout.

Father's Day Gift Idea - Shoe Shine Kit

Since Charles wears dress shoes for work a shoe shine kit is a must have! And it makes a great Father's Day gift idea!

We purchased a shoe shine kit, for Father's Day when Marcus was little. Every Father's Day Marcus and I purchase new shoe shine polish - brown and black for Charles' shoe shine kit. It's also a good idea to add some shoestrings, in both colors. We also have replaced the brush and shoe shine applicators, as needed.

If you want to put together your own kit Martha Stewart offers all the instructions.

Things to Do In Preparation of the Move - Rent the Moving Truck

We've booked our moving truck for the move at UHaul. Charles decided that we should go with the 17' truck. Marcus requested a utility dolley. It makes loading more productive.

We'll be purchasing our moving boxes and packing supplies on Thursday. That will consist of large and medium boxes, mattress bags, bubble wrap, tape and tape gun. We have a box of wrapping paper in our storage unit.

Just 4 more days and we'll be moving into our new apartment!
