One Man's Generosity Makes a Difference in Lives of Homeless Teens - KLAS-TV Channel 8 News Las Vegas

This story brought tears to my eyes. One man who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness who wanted to make a huge difference in his local community.

What a beautiful person.

Homeless Amongst Teens in Las Vegas

Recently my husband and I discovered that one of our son's friends was abandoned by her parents. Her mother literally threw her out of the home. And her father, who lives in another state inform us that he didn't want her living with him.

Since June 16 she's been living with us. She's an amazing young lady despite all that she's been going through. My husband and I feel honored to be able to help her as she's seeking emancipation from her parents.

The homeless teen situation is horrible in Las Vegas. It's estimated that 55% of high school students are homeless.

Please keep these kids in your prayers and if you're able to make a donation stop by Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. They're a fantastic organization with a huge heart!

I hope you had an awesome weekend! We sure did!

It's great to have a gym, pool and walking paths at our new home! I'm now up to 30 minutes on the treadmill with 3 incline. The family loves the swimming pool and spa. And Charles and I are enjoying taking romantic night walks around the complex.

All of this exercise is not only good for weight management but for my pain management and depression!

One of the tenants was moving and gave us a free TV on Sunday! It's truly a blessing since one of our TVs was damaged in the move.

How's Your Prayer Life? Mine...It's Getting Better.

Tonight at Calvary Chapel Spring Valley,on Pastor Derek spoke about prayer life. He shared with us that he struggles with his own prayer life. Finding or making the time for prayer can be difficult but one needs to remember how furfilling it is for our relationship with the Heavenly Father.

He reminded me that prayer shouldn't be looked at as a obligation. It's a blessing!
