These days, I hear more people returning to home phone service. Cell phones are great but when there are electric outages or you're in an area that has poor cell phone coverages home phone service starts looking good again.
Others disagree that they don't use their landline phones much and that it's an unnecessary expense.
So, what do you think? article and poll

Tips to Protect You From ATM Thieves ~ Yahoo Finance
Since moving to Las Vegas, in 2007, I have experienced having my Visa debit number stolen twice!
It's a huge problem in this area. Experts suggest not using your card at gas station pumps nor at free standing ATM machines.
Yahoo Finance has an article, 4 Tips to Protect You From ATM Thieves.
Tips that the article mentions and that we use is bank alerts, checking our balances frequently, not using ATMs at restaurants, malls or free standing ATMs. (my Visa debit number was stolen at a Fresh & Easy ATM machine)

Menu Plan Monday - July 12, 2010

Our Apartment Hallway Bathroom
I will never volunteer to work a weekend day again! There's something refreshing about having 2 days off. Even when you work at home. I'm actually still tired this morning. Marcus, our teen, was right about not volunteering. Out of the mouths of babes comes great wisdom!
Charles is taking me out to dinner on Sunday. He found a small family owned soul food restaurant that he wants to check out. The kids have requested that we bring them back some dessert!
Sunday, Marcus and Kiana helped me with some decorating, sorting and moving things to the garage. The home office is more organized now. We're also preparing Kiana's room for the delivery of her new bed. She spent some time at Target window shopping bedding and lamps for her room.
Well onto this week's menu plan!
Tuna Burgers, Oven Fries
Macaroni and Cheese
Roasted Tomato and Vegetable with Whole Wheat Pasta
Beef Tips, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Kid's Pick ~ Hubby and Mom are going out

Yes! Rent-Free Living IS Possible...Here's How
When my husband was offered a job as an Assistant Apartment Complex Manager we knew that we would be moving again. Besides renting a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment for 1/2 the rent he negotiated free water, sewer and a garage as part of his contract!
Here's an article that I've shared before, courtesy of Survival Insight, that provides various free and reduced rent ideas.

I would have started crying but I needed to stay focused on my driving. But you know what? I was thinking the same thing.
