Doctor, Doctor - Give Me Some News!

Today, I saw my family practice doctor because of numerous symptoms that I've been experiencing. Nausea, fatigue, dizziness, and heart palpitations, to just name a few.

My doctor advised me it may be perimenopause. What funny! So, they drew about 5 tubes of blood, ran some EKG test and checked my blood pressure.

I'll be returning for a follow up visit next Saturday so we can go over the results.

In the meantime this gal is continuing to deal with these fun symptoms.

Ruby Tuesday - Restaurant Recommendation

Don't forget to participate in my Back to School Greeting Card Giveaway! Just leave a comment or more for chances to win! Deadline - August 30, 2010!

The hubby decided to treat the family to Ruby Tuesday for dinner last night.

This restaurant has quickly become one of our family favorites!

Everyone loves their salad bar. While they don't have a large selection to choose from the choices are fresh. It's good to see the kids load up on fruit and veggies.

The meatlovers in the family picked from their hamburger choices. Marcus and I had the Bacon Cheeseburger. While Charles decided on the Boston Blue Burger ~ it has blue cheese crumbles, onion rings and their Boston BBQ Sauce. Our orders came with their delicious Endless Fries!

I really love this restaurant because of the high quality of ingredients and great service.

"Oh Honey, She Called Me Mom!"

Back to School Greeting Card Giveaway closes on Tuesday, August 31, 2010

This morning I open Kiana's curtains to bring in the sun. She got up and went to Marcus' room and said "Mom pulled back the curtains and woke me up!"

Marcus started laughing and said "You just called my mom ~ Mom."

Kiana got beet red while telling me the story. For me, I told her thank you.

Don't you love being called Mom?

You' Heard Me Right ~ Fibro Sucks!

I've notice that my overall aching pain has worsen, I'm more exhausted and having difficulty focusing more over the last month. And I know that's it's my condition...Fibromyalgia.

In my case, my doctor doesn't want to put me on anymore fibro medications. I didn't have a good experience with Lyrca or Cymbalta. And he doesn't want to add to my current medications that I'm taking for pain management, depression and inability to sleep.

It's been difficult to hold down a full time job that requires mandatory overtime and multi-tasking.

So, I'm taking more time to relax and get the rest that I need. No, it hasn't helped my pain or energy level but I'm hoping that this will soon pass.
