Pork Tenderloin on Sale at Smart and Final

I stopped by our local Smart and Final and was delighted to see Pork Tenderloin 50 cents off. It was also marked down to $5.50 so I had to get one.

We were able to get dinner and a couple of lunches from my purchase!

I Won a Blog Giveaway at Southern Hospitality !

I actually won a beautiful window shade from Simple Fit. We've been so busy that I haven't had time to get permission to hang it yet.

The measuring instructions were very easy for Marcus to follow. When he gets back from Salt Lake, Utah, I'll have him install it.

Don't you just love blog giveaways?

TENS Unit Working Overtime - Curses of Cold Temps

Menu Plan Monday - November 8, 2010

The hubby taking a break from cooking in our San Diego kitchen.

I'm heading back in training, for work, this week. We're learning the latest software system. I'll be required to start my day at 5 am PST. This is going to require 2 cups of coffee.

Kiana never heard back from Payless Shoes after her 2nd interview. She was very disappointed. It would have been nice if they had given her a call or sent an email.

It's cooled down in Las Vegas to the low 60's. And it's brought the wind along just for laughs. After a hot summer we welcome the cooler temps.

Now onto this week's menu plan. Several recipes are from Mr. Food's Quick & Easy Diabetic Cooking.

Baked Ham, Green Beans, Carrots

Bottomless Chicken Potpie

Guilt-Free Beef Stroganoff with No-Yolk Egg Noodles, Mixed Green Salad

Port o Sub sandwiches, Macaroni Salad

Pinto Beans with Ham, Brown Rice

More Inexpensive Ways to Decorate Your Home

I was sorting through some boxes yesterday and came across these quotes made on white cardstock. My future plans are to stop by Target and find some amazing frames.

One can easily make these at home with the help of their computer.

How Our Garden Grows - Part 3

The fruit and vegetable soil we purchased at Home Depot is working well for our plants.

The collard greens are still branching out.

The yellow sweet pepper has a few flower blossoms.

The roma tomato plant is growing very well.

Dave, our faithful African Jasmine, is filling in very well. He's also displaying some new blossoms.

I Spent a Pleasant Afternoon with Our Teens

You think you have to wait till your kids are older to hear them say "I had a terrific upbringing."

Kiana, Marcus and I were hanging out this afternoon, chatting about Toby, summer camps and sporting events. It was great to see Marcus' face light up as he share many great times in San Diego.

Kiana also shared some of her younger years but focused more on her life since she moved in with us.

It's great to have a day like this to remind us that despite the financial challenges life is a blessing.
