My Ongoing Stuggle with Major Depression and Anxiety - Re-evaluation

My family and friends comment that they're amazed with how well I'm dealing with my pain. They have no idea of the battle I have with major depression and stress anxiety.

When I visualize it's me, fighting to stay above water, waves hitting me in the face, an anchor around my waist pulling me under, while I'm gasping for every breath!

After being committed last April, I thought I had found my savior in Prozac and Trazadone. In the last 4 months, I begin noticing mouth sores and tingling, night grinding, waking up in the middle of the night, and increasing stress issues during the day.

This week, I was so overwhelmed with great saddness that I knew I had to share with my concerned husband.

So, it's been decided that I will be returning the psychologist for a evaluation and change of medication. It's also been suggested that I go back to therapy. My company offers EAP, Employee Assistance Program, that will cover 12 visits.

The difference for me this round is that I recognized that I do need help and reached out for help.

Marcus filed his first tax return this year! And Turbo Tax made it so easy!

If I didn't know the answer to his question we used the online question search feature. It's very helpful.

Remembering Moments Spent With Marcus

Marcus had just finished volunteering at the San Diego Union Tribune Kids Race in Balboa Park. He loved events like this where it included kids and sports.

Charles and I were on the sidelines cheering on the kids.

It was a beautiful day! And I will remember it fondly.

Celebrating Doing Business in Your Bathrobe Day!

I'm wearing my very old red robe. I think Charles gave it to many Christmas' ago. I like to keep fun items on my desk. Check out the Rubix cube, Arthur and DJ! And of course, I have to have photos of the kids.



Kiana and Marcus are one of the reason I work at home. Yes, teens do appreciate having a parental unit at home. Whether it's to complain about each other or help with a homework they know where I'm at.


Like my shades?! These are from my eye doctor. He dilated my pupils and gave me a pair of Roll lens!
