Charles got up early this morning and informed that I was going to love Kate's wedding dress. And I do!

The dress didn't overpower her at all. She's a classic beauty!

I Got Married Today! April 26, 1996

Today, Charles and I were married at the San Diego County courthouse in 1996. In attendance was our son, Marcus and a friend. (who's name I cannot remember)

After we said our vows, we went home for some cake and champagne. While Marcus had sparkling cider.

I want to thank my hubby for an amazing rollercoaster ride!

I look forward to many more highs and lows with you by my side Big Daddy!

I thought I would post my favorite blog question ~ How did you meet your spouse?

Let me share our story ~ My husband was in the Navy, his ship, USS Samuel B Roberts hit a mine while escorting an oil tanker out of the Persian Gulf, in 1988. The ship was towed into the Maine Bath Iron Works dry dock for one year of repairs.

While they were stationed in Portland, Maine he would stop by Friendly's Ice Cream on Thursdays, for a cup of coffee and a large bowl of cream of broccoli soup. I was a waitress there and he would request to sit in my section.

A few weeks later he asked me out.

ps In 2005, Marcus, our teen, went back to Portland, Maine for a visit. My family took him to that restaurant for lunch

I finally finished my wall gallery for our living room!

Black & White Photos of Charles' sisters, his parents getting married and my parents at a dinner! Chris, Charles' sister gave me a bunch of family photos before she died. My sister passed on this photo of my parents. I will always treasure these photos.


Charles bought this trailer planter at Walmart a few years ago. It makes a great home for my faux cactus. I decided it needed a new home.

Our family and faith are what it's all about! In my opinion, it's important for our walls to show a story of our family, to encourage conversation with visitors and us.

I used to have a collection of birdhouses but decided to cutback. Here's just a few of my favorites. I love collecting photo frames. Thanks to Big Lots, Target, Marshall's and Ross I don't spend alot of money.

Today, I'm touring craft rooms, that bloggers are sharing.

As a long time scrapbooker, it would be nice to have a work space to keep my current projects laid out. It would also be very helpful to have my supplies displayed in open view.

I love all the creative and organizing systems that many of you have created! And if you don't have a separate room to dedicate to your crafts and hobbies maybe you have some space, in a room . I hope some of these ideas might work for you.
