Marcus is the Bacon Eating Kid!

When I saw this pillow on Etsy last month, I knew I had to get it for our Bacon Eating Kid!

Home Office Redo - May 2011

Charles stopped off at Home Depot, Big Lots and Office Depot for his work area supplies. The milk cart came from Office Depot, the cord cover is actually washer machine drainage pipe from Home Depot, and the memo boards came from Big Lots.

Charles had his work area done in a few hours. He hates clutter.

Here's a view of my work area. I love having lots of photos and stuff on my desk! I'm planning on purchasing a tree wall decal for the corner of the wall.

I just have to have room for my photos, games, magazines, and work tools at my work area.

Have a Madeleine With Your Cup of Coffee

While living in San Diego Marcus developed a of love of Madeleines and Vanilla Italian Sodas.

For Mother's Day, I thought it would be nice for me and the Bacon Eating Kid to enjoy a few Madeleines, from GlitterCitySweet, in Las Vegas, refreshments and conversation.

It was a pleasant time for both of us.

Inexpensive Wall Decor - Photo Clothesline

I actually saw one on Etsy for almost $20 but decided to make one. For only $5, I purchased some Martha Stewart ribbon and craft clothes pins from Big Lots.

I found some eyes in our tool set. I just needed to select a few photos.

I then hung it up in the home office.

I like this idea because I can constantly change the photos.

Look What I found at Big Lots This Week

This week I stopped by Big Lots for a basket for our shoes that we keep at the door. I also found some inexpensive items:

scrapbooking, craft supplies $1,00-$3.00
a faux leather photo frame $4
Dynamo laundry detergent $2.50
a medium barn star $4
Buttercream candle $3
Laundry decor sign $4

Shopping at Big Lots is like being on a treasure hunt!

Have You Heard Of or Used The ECOWASBAL?

Have you seen or used the EcoWasBal?

Here's the description on The Future Perfect website: Just toss this in the washer with your laundry. This soap-less revolutionary product is as good or better than normal detergent. The ball is filled with small ceramic beads. When these beads come in contact with water they create hydroxylions. Like traditional detergent, these ions reduce the surface tension of water, activate the water molecules and dirt is released from the fibers. The softness, elasticity and color of the fabric are maintained. Fine or heavy fabrics, colors or whites ... the laundry is fresh, safe and clean. Moreover, ECOWASBAL is effective for up to one thousand washes (approx. 4 years). With lightly soiled laundry, supplementary use of detergent is not required. Only with normal to heavily soiled wash loads is it advisable to add a small amount of detergent (a 15 ml-measuring spoon is included)

Just think of all the money you can save not using laundry detergent on every wash! I'm actually considering purchasing one.

If you've used one please let me know your experience.

Catherine Zeta Jones opens up about depression - People - MiamiHerald.com

Catherine Zeta Jones opens up about depression - People - MiamiHerald.com

I'm always thankful when a celebrity shares their stuggles with depression. It gets the media and people talking.

As many of you know I've been struggling with Major Depression Disorder for many years. It wasn't till a suicide attempt, last April, when I was committed, diagnoised and finally treated have I found some peace.

Recently, I have discovered that my depression never leaves me. Just like in that commercial for an anti depressant it shows the depression as a dark blob, whose size changes but once she's on her new medication it shrinks to a manageable size. My depression is like a large anchor around my waist. Some times it's just a small charm on a belt- thats a great day.

I believe that the more we talk about depression it will make it much easier for people to seek help and continue treatment. We have to get over the stigma of depression. I can tell you I never want to go back to that mental institute.

My the Heavenly Father hear our cries for help and lead us onto the path of recovery!

What is Wrong with Me?
Finally someone has hit the nail on the head providing an overview of what it's like to have Fibromyalgia.

As a fellow Fibro sufferer it can be difficult to explain what's happening to you to others. Sometimes, even to yourself.
