The Church at South Las Vegas - Internet Campus

The Church at South Las Vegas - Internet Campus

Thank you Heavenly Father for keeping me propped up during days of struggle and blessed days.

Pastor Benny Perez gave a wonderful sermon this evening. I found myself tearing up a few times. That's powerful when the words are touching your soul that deeply.

We covered Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling . The African-American Devotional Bible King James Version

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both in will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: I've been following a no complaining way of life for a few years. Sometimes I slip but I rush to recover.

It was an amazing sermon...I think I'll double dip and attend Sunday too.

Repairing A Bike Inner Tube

Patches have definitely improved since my teen years.

The patch reminds me of a Post-It

It's recommended to not touch the patch with your hands due to the oils destroying the adhesive.

The kit comes with a small sander.

I think this tube is on it's last leg!

Did You See Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed Wedding and Reception ?

I've been a Kiss fan since my teenage years.  I had the privilege of seeing them perform in Portland, Maine in the last 70's.

After 28 years together Gene and Shannon decided to tie the knot.  I really wanted to see the 2 part wedding and reception and wasn't disappointed.  Even my teen crush, Paul Stanley was there!

Decorating My Home Office for Halloween

I'm looking to decorate my home office this year!  I spend almost 9 hours in there so it's nice to have something fun to look at!

I decided to on some Halloween garland, a couple of pumpkins and these Halloween Clothespin Bats.

Besides, if I was working in a brick and mortar call center I would definitely have some Halloween touches on my desk!

Homemade Fries at Our House!

My husband purchased a 10 lb bag of Idaho potatoes last week.  When I saw it I was a bit surprised by the size.  He commented that he would make some homemade fries.

I love french fries!  I've been known to be lead into McDonald's by the french fry smell!

While I still think McDonald's fries are number one my husband's french fries are a close 2nd!

Marcus' Lasagna ~ Easy to Make

Sometimes I add 1 pound of lean ground beef, sliced mushrooms and chopped garlic. It travels well for potlucks and is great for leftovers. You can also use the round and square ravioli for this one. Just remember cooking is fun and don't forget to include your kids.

Marcus' Lasagna

1 26-ounce jar pasta sauce (tomato with basil is our favorite)
1 18-24-ounce refrigerated large square or round cheese ravioli
1 10-ounce box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and excess water squeezed dry
1 8-ounce bag shredded Italian blend cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan

Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

Pour a thin layer of sauce over the bottom of a 11-by-7-inch 2-quart baking dish. Cover with a single layer of ravioli. Top with half the spinach, half the cheese, and a third of the sauce. Repeat with another layer of ravioli and the remaining spinach, cheese, and half the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncover and bake until bubbly, 5 to 10 minutes more.
