Jumping Tandem Sunday~ Veteran's Day

Our family has had many serve in the military, including my father, father-in-law and my husband.
I grew up as an Air Force brat. My father retired after serving more than 20 years. My husband's father served in the Navy. My husband was injured during the mine blast of USS Samuel B. Roberts, in 1988, in the Persian Gulf.

I feel very privileged to be have these men in my family. We pray for our men and women who have and are currently serving our country to be safe. And thank them for their service.

Tell your husband thank you for his service from me. I remember the news about that ship. Glad he made it out alive. Did your husband get a free meal today at Applebee's or Olive Garden or elsewhere? We went to Applebee's and it was good as usual. Then added the little dessert shooters, of course mine was chocolate and so good. It's great that more restaurants are honoring veterans for their service. Maybe I'll get up early enough for free pancakes at Dennys prior to work tomorrow. Take care!

Grandma Becky,
Thank you. He greatly appreciates your thanks.
My husband just wanted to be home, working on his bike, and watching football games. Marcus and I took special care of him today.
We love Applebee's. It's been about a year since we last ate there.
Oh, Charles and I had dinner at Famous Dave's Saturday. My blue cheese burger was delicious but the rest of the meal was okay.
