Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life: Bedrooms 2012

Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life weekly linky party theme is Master and Guest Bedrooms! Welcome to our master bedroom tour. We've lived in this 1100 apartment for 2 years, in North Las Vegas, a city outside of Las Vegas, NV. Our faithful bed frame of 18 years and multiple moves was purchased at a Goodwill Store. The wall decals were purchased from several Etsy stores. They are an inexpensive way to decorate your walls especially apartments. My husband's side table is from Ikea and the lamp is from Target. He still likes to have a clock on his table so he can get up on time. Funny thing he always gets up before the alarm. The Daily System Smart technology was purchased at Pottery Barn in 2007. I don't believe it's still available. This is where we keep our cameras, phones, mp3 players, etc. so we're not running around looking for them in the morning. We purchased this wooden buffet at a local furniture warehouse for cheap a few years ago. It's …

Living large: A look inside the tiny house movement | Need to Know | PBS

Video: Living large: A look inside the tiny house movement | Need to Know | PBS My husband and I talk about retiring to a small house one day. It would definitely be an adjustment but the chance to own a home, have more freedom from things and expenses sounds wonderful to us. Would you consider downsizing into a tiny house?

That Will Be $65 Please! "Man, Do I Miss Having an HMO"!

My husband's commercial driver license physical exam is due so I made an appointment with our family doctor. Before I got off the phone the scheduler advised me that there would be a cost of $65 for the appointment. I said "Excuse me"? Then she replied, "His health insurance doesn't cover it". I do miss the days of being covered by an HMO or having your employer cover work related required physicals.

"All The President's Men" ~ I Love This Movie!

Marcus, our son, was talking about conspiracies one day and that got me to thinking of Watergate, which got me thinking about one of the best movies I've seen, "All The Presidents Men"starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman.  So I added it to the Netflix queue, forgot about it till it arrived in the mail last Tuesday..

The movie is a 1976 award winning film based on the book by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the 2 journalists that investigated the Watergate scandal for The Washington Post.

Robert Redford and producers took great pains to the book and settings.  The DVD has a commentary by Mr. Redford that was very insightful.

I remember seeing the hype about the movie when I was a teenager but not truly understanding what it was about. Years later I found myself more interested in seeing the film!

The writing, acting and details are amazing.  I find myself getting sucked into the story every time I watch this movie!  This is great movie to watch with your t…
