Jumping Tandem Sunday~ Veteran's Day

Source: Uploaded by user via Angela on Pinterest Our family has had many serve in the military, including my father, father-in-law and my husband.
I grew up as an Air Force brat. My father retired after serving more than 20 years. My husband's father served in the Navy. My husband was injured during the mine blast of USS Samuel B. Roberts, in 1988, in the Persian Gulf.

I feel very privileged to be have these men in my family. We pray for our men and women who have and are currently serving our country to be safe. And thank them for their service.

Salt & lemon pepper to taste
1 tsp. dried italian seasonings
Parsley (optional)
1 tbsp. olive oil (enough to coat)

Preparation: Coat skillet with olive oil and butter. Sautee onion, then add cabbage. Stir thoroughly. Simmer, stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes. Hubby and I Discuss "Skyfall" 007 Movie

Source: via Sunaina on Pinterest Charles: "I loved it"! "Of course, they always have to start with a chase scene but I really enjoyed it. How about you?"
Me: "I really love Daniel Craig as 007. He's very attractive, mysterious, weathered and beaten." Source: via Lindsay on Pinterest And I love his wardrobe. Every outfit, I thought "Charles would look very handsome in that." "You would look so good in the pea-coat." Source: via Jermel on Pinterest Charles: "I'll save the skinny pants for Marcus." "That's a young man's style but I'll definitely take the watch and car if you're thinking of Christmas gifts."
Me: "You're so cute". "I enjoyed the movie too".

My Hubby and Me: Couple Time

I love having photos of me and my husband. He doesn't like his photo taken so when he says "Go get the camera"! I'm not going to miss the opportunity.
Our son took this photo before we headed out to see "Skyfall" and have dinner at Famous Dave's.

We'll be back with our movie review of "Skyfall".

Our Home: New Autumn Touches

I purchased a gobble. wall vinyl decal from Welcoming Wall last week. Today, it arrived in the mail. When our son saw me putting it up he said, "Oh, I see you're in your decorating mood. If you need me to hang up something let me know." gobble.~Something fun for the hallway bathroom. This is a small faux pumpkin that I purchased from Target last month. I finally found a home for it! Welcoming Wall included some fall leaves, at no charge. I knew just where to put them!

"Thanks For the Food...It Was Better Than Bacon" Note

My husband and I had ordered Chinese take out on Saturday. We put the leftovers in the fridge for Marcus. When we woke up on Sunday morning he left us this note!

Menu Plan Monday ~ November 5, 2012

We had lots Chinese take out so there's leftovers this week! Bank of America finally settled an overdraft class action so we got an extra $200 in our checking account on Saturday!

This Sunday's "Call the Midwife", on PBS, was so thrilling because Chummy got married! There's a stumbling block but she manages to sidestep it.

My husband and I even hugged each other when she and her walked out of the church. He blames me for getting him hooked on "Downton Abbey" and "Call the Midwife"!
