UPS Found and Delivered My Package Today!

PS package arrived closed.

It issue starts with me putting the wrong apartment number on the order with Puritan's Pride a week ago. (brain fog) This week, I received a notification stating that it was at our front door. No package at our door. So I contacted UPS Twitter for help. Per their follow up email, the UPS delivery person stated they delivered it to not only the wrong apartment but wrong building! I was advised per UPS' email to check with the person who might have my package or contact Puritan's Pride.

This morning, I called Puritan's Pride customer service to advise them of the lost package. While I speaking with Jill, customer service, she advised that UPS had my package and were going to delivery it today! She offered to place me on hold, contact them, and verify that they had the correct address.

When Jill came back online she advised me that UPS had the correct shipping address and that my package would be delivered today! She also corrected the apartment number in my account! Kudos Jill!

Thank you UPS the follow up. And Puritan's Pride for the great customer service! I'm a very happy customer.

Will You Be Snail Mailing Christmas Card This Year?

I love receiving Christmas cards! Some of you are so creative DIYer's. And then there are those of us who appreciate a handmade card and will purchase them from a Etsy store! It's fun to send and receive them. Many times, I'll hear from people via email or Facebook when they've receive our card. (That's so sweet of them!)

This year, I'm participating in the Christmas Card Exchange at Workplace Like Home (again) and sending cards to family and friends.

Will you be snail mailing Christmas cards this year?

Yesterday, the phone rang and it was Office Depot delivery person calling to confirm that I was home to receive my order. About 20 minutes later a gentleman showed up with my package. Wow! I can't remember every experiencing a delivery like that!

It's time to fill up Mr. Snowman cookie jar !

I'm a huge fan of using a baking stone for cookies. My husband and son like to use the cookie sheet.

My Church is On the News: The Church Online Campus on News 3 - Las Vegas, NV

It's so cool to see The Church of Southern Nevada, on the local news, for their online campus today!  I had attended other online church services before settling in with The Church LV ,as we lovely call it, 3 years ago.

Pastor Benny Perez has a definite passion for the Word.  This church strives to have the online campus be part of the brick and mortar church.  I really love that!

Seeking Help During The Holidays ~ Suicide Prevention

During the holidays many people suffer greatly with their depression. Many chronic illness sufferers, in my Facebook groups, comment on not feeling worthy. And then there's the loneliness and isolation that contribute to their sadness.

Please remember that suicide is never the solution to any problem. When I read the family and friends Facebook comments at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline it breaks my heart!

I definitely wasn't thinking of the pain I was inflicting on my husband and son. But at the time I was living with the severe pain, that was deep in my bone marrow. It was till I was committed to a mental institution, after a suicide attempt, and given a combination of anti-depressants, that I was finally free!

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, please call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

How About This Pancake Recipe? Easy Oven Pancakes

When I saw Easy Oven Pancakes as part of Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday I just had to click the link!

It to me to Lynn's Kitchen. According to her directions any pancake recipe that has 2 cups of flour or pancake mix will work.

Pour batter into a greased 12×15 or 11×14 pan and spread out evenly. Lynn's Kitchen states that she has done this in various sized jelly roll type pans and as long as they are close to that size it has worked.

Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes or until done. It will be similar in texture to a pancake when it is done. Serve with butter, fruit, jam or syrup.

I think this pancake recipe would work well for big groups.

Decorating the Apartment for Christmas 2012

My husband has been asking me when would I start decorating for Christmas since Thanksgiving. I was a bit surprised since I like to wait till it's actually December but Thanksgiving was early this year. (wasn't it?)

I knew I wanted to put the big tree someplace different. The office won out. I still have much to do but this is a good start!

I also decided to decorate our bedroom.
I framed the patio door with some old fashioned bulbs that I bought last year. I also decided to use cream colored ribbon to hang the wreaths. The side table was the perfect place for the advent calendar and a Santa.
I keep a few of our favorite Christmas cards every year and after seeing a similar way of displaying them on Pinterest I thought I would do the same. (a Christmas tree on the wall)

Our main Christmas tree is in the office this year. Hubby did the set up and I decorated.
My husband loves this cookie jar. Now I need to bake some snicker-doodles and fill it up!

Menu Plan Monday ~ December 3, 2012

This week we'll be keeping meals simple and inexpensive. It's the end of the year, we have some bills that must be paid. Ugh! Marcus will be starting college next month and we're paying for books and supplies. So hubby will be working some overtime on the weekends.

I attended online church campus on Saturday night. We have several people who suffer from chronic illness in the group. It's always a highlight of mine to worship with them.

Enough about that, now onto this week's menu plan. Thanks Organizing Junkie for hosting Menu Plan Monday.

It's Time for Homemade Meatball Soup

I was in the mood for soup. Marcus wanted meatballs. So I decided to make Beef Meatball Soup.

start cutting up the vegetables!
It doesn't take long because I preheated the chicken broth and water so they were ready for the veggies and meatballs. Yum!
I don't have a recipe for this. I just add what I feel like. The whole family loves it!
