A Quick Meal: Barilla Marinara Sauce and Thin Spaghetti

There are some nights I just want to make a quick meal! And pasta and sauce also come to the rescue! I also add whatever protein and vegetables we have in the fridge. This time it was hot Italian sausage, mushrooms and garlic.

And with some Barilla thin spaghetti that I've received through the National Spaghetti Twitter Party and the Cooking Light Cravebox, and Marinara sauce I had in the pantry, I was ready to assemble the meal!

Just add a salad and a delicious dinner was ready to be served!

Doesn't this look delicious? I'm definitely going to add this Ham Hock Soup to next week's meal plan!

I'm so glad I decided to stop by Facebook today! Recipe is courtesy of Sweet Basil.

It's Time for the Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Welcome to BerryMorins Bits & Tips for the Ultimate Blog Party 2013! I hope you're having fun checking out all of the UBP bloggers!

I've been participating in the Ultimate Blog Party since 2007. There are many bloggers that I continue to follow that I was first introduced through UBP 2007! So I make a point to participate every year!

I've been blogging since 2005, it started as a way to sharing some of my daily interests and life after suffering from a work accident. The topics have changed over the years, (ex: grown up, moved, changed jobs) but my love for God has stayed strong!

Charles, my husband

Marcus, our son

I'm a chronic pain and Major Depression Order sufferer, wig wearing, peri-menopausal, mom to a 21 year old son, married for 17 years, in love with my hubby for 25 years, 51 year old gal!

You can also find me on:
Twitter , Facebook , HuffPostLive ,

Please let me know you stopped by leaving a comment. I'll do the same for you! Enjoy the party!

Kelly's Korner: Show Us Your Life ~ Favorite Kid Books

Kelly's Korner has a weekly linky post called Show Us Your Life. This Friday, she's asking for us to share our favorite children's books.

My husband and I read to Marcus frequently when he was little. When he was old enough, he signed up for a library card. And when he was in school, he would bring home the Scholastic book orders!

We're thrilled that he still enjoys reading, as an adult!

Here are just a few of his favorite books while he was growing up! elementary to high school

Five Question Friday ~ April 5, 2013

Portland, Maine

1. Would you go to your high school reunion?

That's a big NO! My High school experience, in Portland, wasn't a pleasant. But I would definitely attend my husband's high school reunion! He attended a large California high school. The last one we went to was a blast.

2. What's something that you've recently splurged on; either for yourself or someone else?

That would be a Jantzen Classic swimsuit that I purchased last year! I didn't need it but I wanted it.

3. How do/did you handle your child's fever?

When Marcus was growing up, the advice was to not give them anything till the temperature was under 100 degrees. He would have plenty of fluids, sometimes some Pedialyte, per doctor's orders. Children's Tylenol liquid would be recommended for 100+ temperatures.

4. What's the nicest thing to happen to you lately?

I recently received $250 Visa gift cards from a Sweet Relish Twitter Party that I attended in January! What a treat!

5. What is your current favorite song?

Chaka Khan's Fire and Ice ~ that song is timeless.

Letter to the Princeton Editor Recommending Princeton Women Look For A Suitable Mate While In College

Another amazing HuffPostLive segment this week! I was so glad I was able to attend it live. The HPL commenters chat was fast, with many of the younger commenters disagreeing with the author of the letter. Yes, Susan Patton, author of the letter, was on to defend it! (she did a terrific job)

While Ms. Patton didn't make an converts she handled herself very well.

I would suggest reading the letter first!

Target: Check Out the Beautiful Spring Colors Handbags!

While I was at Target to pick up my prescription yesterday, I got sidetracked by these colorful handbags! It's nice to have a big bag in your handbag collection. And I'm actually in the market for one since my big bag has bit the dust!

I was tempted to buy one but I'll wait for a sale!

Top 10 Reasons to Attend a Twitter Party !

Top 10 Reasons to Attend a Twitter Party

Why does this gal like to attend Twitter Parties?!  Well, most people might think I would respond with 'winning prizes'.  And while that's a terrific reason to go it's not my #1 reason!

I really love learning about new products and services.  Also, many charities and non-profits are hosting Twitter parties to get the word out!

My Twitter Party Prize: Sweet Relish

It seems that my January Twitter party prizes are started to arrive! I recently received the $250 Visa gift cards that I won from the Sweet Relish party. The cards were put to use immediately. Marcus needed black work pants, t shirts, socks, and a belt, for work so I gave him one.

I'm heading to Target tomorrow to pick up my prescription. I might take a look at the women clothing sales racks!

Have you discovered Twitter parties yet?

Couple Time: Krispy Kreme Donut Shop

This weekend my hubby decided to treat me to a Krispy Kreme Cappuccino. Since I was there I decided to really splurge and add a Chocolate Cake doughnut to my order!

I definitely had my fill of sugar that day! Thanks honey!

It's a Steel Cut Oatmeal Morning!

A bowl of oatmeal is a terrific way to start one's morning! Especially steel cut oatmeal!

We recently purchased some from Winco. They sell it in their bulk foods area.

I've Got to Brush Up on My Phone Job Interview Skills

I had a phone interview today for a work at home customer service position. Despite the fact it looks like I passed the first interview I still felt unprepared.

I'm definitely going to brush up on phone interview tips so that I can feel more confident!

Menu Plan Monday ~ April 1, 2013

Meal Planning 2.0

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! This week is busy with activity! I have a couple of job interviews along with my household duties, organizing projects and errands. Oh, Marcus started a part time job and is still attending college full time so I offered to help him stay organized.

Did you watch "Call The Midwife" last night? Yes, the gang is back! No spoilers here! Just know I found it an emotional episode. And I think Sister Evangelina is my new hero!

Thanks to Organizing Junkie for hosting Menu Plan Monday!
