Friday's Letters ~ November 8, 2013

Friday's Letters

Dear PBS, Please stop teasing us with "Call The Midwife" and "Downton Abbey" trailers. It makes waiting till 2014 almost unbearable!

Dear Hubby, Thanks for serving me coffee in bed. You always now exactly how to get me smiling early in the morning.

Dear Thanksgiving, I still don't know what I'm serving for dinner. Last year, we had Papa John's pizza. This year, hubby has requested a traditional turkey dinner. I'm still undecided. Ugh!

Dear Pigeons, We noticed you haven't been stopping by to roost on our porch. Can't really say that we don't miss your visits. Man, does that bird repellent work well!

While I Was At Target I Picked Up....

I had to pick up a prescription so I thought I redeem a $25Target gift card, that I won, while I was there.

I've been wanting a cake stand for years so when I saw that it was only $12.99, I grabbed it! And since vanilla is one of my favorite scents for soothing and relaxing, I purchased a Chesapeake Bay Tahitian Vanilla Candle and Bodyology body mist.

I just love shopping at Target. Don't you?

Apple-Kohlrabi Slaw~My family and I have fallen in love with Kohlrabi~German turnip. It's a mild taste with lots of crunch. Now we just need to find some in our local neighborhood markets!

This was an amazing lunch! Thanks Blue Apron.

Once you create an account at Klout, link your social media sites, ex: Twitter, Facebook, Google+ Than Klout starts tracking your stats. As your numbers climb, you qualify for perks. WooHoo!~I received a $25Vita Frute Cocktails coupon and a bracelet.

Thursday Thoughts ~ November 7, 2013

Ramblings of a Suburban Mom's Thursday Thoughts. I really love her blog. If you're looking for the 101 on subscription boxes definitely check out her out.

Seems that the FDA has decided to ban Trans Fats. According to the news, there is no current timeline set. I'm all for eliminating unnecessary additives from food products. Do you think it's a good idea?

Did you hear that Goodies subscription box is no more? Sad but true. We enjoyed the assortment of snacks, for just $7 a month. And that big apple green box was always a big treat! Bye-bye Goodies!

Kmart has announced that their stores will be open, on Thanksgiving, at 6am! All I can say is Wow! That's wicked early!

But let's be honesty. I think there will be people definitely showing up, to shop. After all, last year, I went to Big Lots, on Thanksgiving, in the afternoon. That place was packed!

Star Nursery Tour With Hubby~ More Photos

Last month, my husband and I stopped by our local Star Nursery, for bird repellant. (it's working wonders)

While we were there, we took a walk through their large gardening and landscaping section. Check out the beautiful trees, cactus and flowers.

My #WalgreensCambridge Twitter Prize Has Arrived!

Yes, I actually won a $100Walgreens gift card by attending and participating in the #WalgreensCambridge Twitter Party last month. I was wicked excited!

I put it to good use, purchasing makeup, skin care products and Hugo Boss One cologne for the hubby! Thank you so much!

Couple Time: Craig Road Regional Park

In our neighborhood, Craig Road Regional Park, a new 170 acres park has finally opened last month! Recently, my husband and I decided to take a walk.

Craig Road Regional Park has lots of green space. There are also basketball and tennis courts, dog parks, ponds, playgrounds, picnic areas and more.

Hubby and I definitely were excited to check out the community park.

We had a wonderful time, walking, meeting and chatting with other people who were also enjoying the park. It was a great day!

Menu Plan Monday ~ November 4, 2013

I'm so glad my husband vacuumed the air vents and changed the air filters. The last couple of days have been chilling in Las Vegas! 45 degrees at night and 60 degrees during the day! While at The Strip, last week, we saw plenty of tourist caught unprepared for our colder temperatures.

If you're heading to Vegas this time of year, don't forget to pack some long sleeves and a jacket.
