Bishop T.D. Jakes On HuffPostLive

Bishop T.D. Jakes joined Marc Lamont Hill, on HuffPost Live on Friday and spoke about why we need to offer the same grace and forgiveness to everyone.

I loved what Bishop Jakes said about grace and mercy. "You can't evaluate a person that you don't know." "In privacy, What really happened..what really happened to you and how can we serve you".

You can click on the video above to see a clip of the interview!

Enjoying A Quiet Moment!

I got up early, made some French press coffee and took to relaxing the quiet, on the balcony. What a beautiful way to start the day!

Our Plated Box Has Arrived! May 2014

We've been wanting to give Plated a try since they started delivery in Nevada. So with a discount code, courtesy of Savings.com, for 2 free meals, I figure I would place an order.

Here's the description of Plated, available from their website:

Plated offers 7 chef-designed recipes, that are featured on the menu, each week. The dishes include 4 healthy meat & fish options and 3 unique vegetarian dishes.

Delivery days vary according to where you live. Just enter your zip code on the menu page to see which days are available in your neighborhood.

All of the ingredients you need arrive fresh to your door. Read through your step-by-step recipe cards & get ready to cook up some fun!

Unlike Blue Apron, you can pick from several options but the per plate price is higher, $15 per plate or $12 per plate for members. If you compare that to eating out, drinks, transportation, tip, it's still more affordable than dining out!

Thursdays Thoughts ~ May 8, 2014

Wendy Williams sat down with Marc Lamont Hill, HuffPostLive host and shared her thoughts on the "Real Housewives" series. Besides being disgusted with the violence on the shows, she stated that all of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" should be fired.

Wow! So, Andy Cohen! Let's take the time to clean house and start from scratch! I actually have to agree with Ms. Williams. It's time for a much needed change on #RHOA.

My husband and I's favorite TV series, "24", has returned for a limited series. I actually watched it Monday night. Keifer Sutherland didn't miss a beat, as Jack Bauer. I caught myself gasping and screaming "Jack"! several times while watching the 1st episode!

I'm so glad that #JackIsBack !

For lunch today, I decided to make Skirt Steak with Papas Bravas, Dandelion Greens and Paprika Aioli, purchased from Plated. It was fun, quick and easy to prepare.

We really loved the Skirt Steak, Papas Bravas (fingerling potat…

Volupties Subscription Has Arrived!

Volupties offers an underwear subscription service for curvy ladies, for just $12, your first month! (It’s $17/month after that) When you join, you provide your underwear size and each month you will receive 3 pairs of quality sexy underwear from well-known brands via snail mail!

Don't forget to use VOLUPTIES to save $5 off your first month!

Here's how my Volupties package arrived in the mail today. The small plastic bag actually fit perfectly in our mailbox. A plus for me because I didn't have to stop by the apartment manager's office to pick it up.

When I opened the package, I noticed this beautiful tissue paper wrapped. It's so pretty.

Here's the selections from the April subscription! I love the variety of colors and styles that I receive each month.

WikiHow: How To Understand Someone With Chronic Pain

As a chronic pain sufferer it's important for those around us to have an understanding of how to communicate with us. So when I see an article that addresses things like "understanding and respecting the chronic pain sufferer's physical limitations" I'm not only reading the article but sharing it!

I feel truly blessed that my husband and son truly understand that I'm in constant pain 24/7! That I do have physical limitations. And that I don't always communicate how I feel.

Check out How To Understand Someone With Chronic Pain at WikiHow.

See How Our Garden Is Growing!

Hubby and I purchased a few extra herbs and a tomato plant this weekend from Home Depot. I love that my husband thought of this wire shelving so that I could reach everything! It really makes gardening easy for this chronic pain sufferer!

Our Living Space Decorated For The Summer!

I enjoy decorating for the season but not spending a lot of money!

We purchased the red pillows last weekend. They are Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart. I added the blue lumbar pillow from the bedroom, a TJ Maxx purchase. The Summer banner was made from crafting supplies. Lots of Etsy and prizes throughout the house too!

And Yes, my house is always this clean! We hate clutter!

Menu Plan Monday ~ May 4, 2014

#24 fans! Are you ready for Jack's return tonight? I sure am!

Hubby is working so we'll be watching it on Hulu Plus or Fox online, later in the week.

Sunday Social ~ May 4, 2014

Its the 100th Sunday Social!!!! Congratulations Neeley and Ashley, hosts of Sunday Social!

This Weeks Questions are:

1. Who do you call when you need to vent?

I don't! I pray and mediate.

2. Where do you go when you need alone time?

I love sitting on our balcony. It's so beautiful and relaxing!

3. What is your favorite alone time activity?

I love reading books, magazines! It's so relaxing for this gal.

4. What is something we should all stop and read right now?

I highly recommend "The Redhead Plays Her Hand", by Alice Clayton.

But, I don't want to you think that's what this book is all about. It's about Grace Sheridan, who's a fellow curvy gal and her gorgeous, younger boyfriend Jack Hamilton, their lives and friends in Hollywood.

This book is sexy, romantic, and funny! Matter of fact, it's one of the books of The Redhead series!

5. Who do you wish would read your blog that doesn’t already?

Mmm...I wish my husband would read it more often but when …

Sunday Community: Moving Beyond Worry And Anxiety

Sunday Community

Just because you have a problem doesn't mean God has abandoned you. He is with you
". Joyce Meyer

When I was strapped to a hospital bed, He was with me! When I was crying, knelled on a cold, dirty floor of a mental institution, on my bare knees, He was with me!

His love, His strength, have never left me! God has brought me from true despair and humbled me!

My relationship continues to grow, as I move beyond worry and anxiety and trust in God.
