Night Out: The Venetian

Hubby and I had a terrific night out last weekend! After enjoying a show and an amazing meal at Noodle Asia, my husband and I decided to take a walk through The Venetian.

During our walk, we couldn't help enjoying the beautiful artwork in this casino.

PBS: Last Tango In Halifax Season 2

Today, my plans are to catch up on Last Tango in Halifax, on PBS. I originally fell in love with the series last year.

If you haven't heard, it's a beautiful, romantic story about Alan and Celia, childhood sweethearts who have been apart for 60 years. Re-united via a social networking site, they meet, fall in love and plan to marry.

Along the way to the altar, their daughters, their partners, and grandchildren require their attention.

It's a lovely series to watch on a summer day.

Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Last month 24-year-old Amanda Longacre was stripped of her title as Miss Delaware for being too old and now the former beauty queen is suing the pageant for 3-million dollars in damages!

Oh my! All because she turned 25 years old one month after the pageant. Amanda states that she had informed officials of her birthday.

Looks like this story isn't coming to an end anytime soon!

We don't have HBO so this bit of info definitely peaked my interest! Apparently, some Internet providers do offer packages that include HBO! Who knew?!

Back in 1951, Bob and Barbara Pettis were married, vowing “til death do us part.” On June 30, they both departed together. Rest in peace Mr. and Mrs. Pettis.

"I Just Wanted You To Know That I Love You"

I love sending a text or 2 to my hubby, during the day to let him know that I'm thinking about him. And it's a treat when he has some downtime to "Say I love you".

I still get gitty when he tells me that.

Hulu's Original Programming Series: "The Hotwives Of Orlando"

HuffPost Live: Move over, "Real Housewives"! That's right, "The Hotwives of Orlando" are in town, so get ready for lady drama and lots of laughs. Stars Tymberlee Hill and Andrea Savage joined HuffPost Live to dish on their new parody series on Hulu.

Etsy: MOOSEdesignsBAGS

I've been eyeing this beautiful tote bag, at MOOSEdesignsBAGS, on Etsy, for awhile, when I decided to purchase, after winning a Visa gift card! Woohoo!! It's perfect for dressing up a casual t-shirt, shorts and sandals.

After placing my order, late June, I figured with the store located in Poland, it would take at least 2-3 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when the apartment manager handed me a large packing box last week!

Inside was this very pretty box with the receipt, showing the conversion to Polish Zloty. I'm definitely keeping both.

NatureBox: July's Selections

Wow! We've recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary subscribing to Nature Box! Oh, and Nature Box is now delivering to Canada.

In case you haven't heard of Nature Box, for $19.95, you receive 5 different full sized healthy snacks each month. (free shipping) You can pause or cancel your deliveries at any time!

I would highly recommend looking at Nature Box Facebook, Twitter or a blogger post for discount codes!

My husband likes to take several of the snacks to share with his co-workers. Many of them comment that they can't believe how delicious the snacks are!

The Granny Smith Apples were grabbed up by our son. His favorite apple!

HuffPostLive: #StopTheBeautyMadness

While watching this segment, I couldn't help but remember those times people would tell me how ugly I was, call me names, and even tell me that no man would ever love because I wasn't pretty enough. I let those words really do a number on me for decades. It wasn't until I hit my 50's that I decided to stop listening to those little voices and just be the best me.

Please check out the segment, share it, comment on it and most importantly #StopTheBeautyMadness

Menu Plan Monday ~ July 14, 2014

hubby and I at the Wendy Williams comedy show.

Hubby and I had a wonderful weekend, starting with seeing Wendy Williams at The Venetian, on Friday. Her show started at 10PM so that meant I needed to take a nap during the day. I'm so glad that I did because her show was very entertaining. We even had a delicious late night dinner at Noodle Asia.

Saturday meant it was time for running errands in the brutal heat! I think I took 3 showers and changed clothes that day.

Sunday was a day of rest! We watched Endeavour on PBS. love that show!
