Thank You New U Natural Beauty And Spa Finder!

I had another Spa Finder certificate to redeem and since we were going out to dinner, I figured I would treat myself to an eyebrow threading and professional makeup application session!

Clara, New U Natural Beauty, was terrific. She asked me about the event, what colors were in my dress and the look I was going for.

When I'm attending a special event or having dinner out, it's a nice to have one's make up done professionally.

Another Great Gwynnie Bee Selection! London Times Multi-Colored Print Sheath Dress

I was so excited when I received an email alert that this dress was on it's way! I may end up buying this one! I just teamed it with a pair of Target gold flat sandals and my blue Franco Sarto handbag. Now I have the perfect outfit for a casual Saturday dinner out.

Thanks Gwynnie Bee!

HuffPost Live: I Had A Wonderful Chat With Vincent D'Onofrio

For those you that don't know, I'm a huge "Law and Order: Criminal Intent". On the weekends, I'm usually watching it on WGN or Netflix. So when I heard that Vincent D'Onofrio, was going to be on HuffPost Live, to talk about his movie, "The Judge", I definitely wanted to be part of the segment!

I was able to share how his memorable performance, on "Homicide: Life on the Street" affected me. Thank you HuffPost Live for this wonderful opportunity.

Thursday Thoughts ~ September 25, 2014

Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Stephen King joined HuffPost Live to describe the early stages of production on the "Shawshank Redemption" film. Apparently, Mr. King never cashed his check. If you've listened to Stephen King in other interviews, you'll definitely understand his decision.

Wolfgang Puck has a new kitchen device, a Pressure Oven. And apparently, you can cook a whole turkey within one hour! If I had the room on the kitchen counter, I might consider buying one.

Next time you wear skinny jeans you might want to keep your Apple iPhone out of your jean pocket. It seems some people have been experiencing their phones bending. Yikes!

Have you heard the news? Netflix is now offers a site that offers spoilers, Living With Spoilers. Sometimes, I don't want to know what happened. I just want to be surprised.

Wednesday Dinner: Butter Chicken with Brown Rice

Sometimes, despite wanting to cook, I'm looking for ways to make a meal quick and still delicious! I've made Butter Chicken from scratch. It's not only amazing but I just love how the aroma of the dish.

After a morning of running errands, that just wasn't going to happen. So last night, I decided to use Safeway Select Butter Chicken Simmer sauce to make this meal.

Tips: I did season the chicken thighs, cut them into smaller pieces, brown them then add the sauce. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve with brown rice. The results: Amazing flavor!

In Case You Missed It! 40 Plus Divas Fashion Show In Las Vegas

My husband and I attended the 40 Plus Divas Fashion Show, in August. There were wonderful fashions, gorgeous models and an amazing night. If you couldn't make this year's event, here's a video, courtesy of Go Curvy. Enjoy!

Autumn Has Finally Arrived!

Now that it's officially autumn, we're looking forward to the cooler temps, in Las Vegas. It's always a thrill when we can stop running the A/C, open the windows and patio doors.

Monday Breakfast: Bagel Egg Bacon And Spinach Sandwich

Who needs a fast food breakfast sandwich when you can make a delicious one at home? This Bagel Egg Bacon and Spinach Sandwich was delicious! At least that what my husband said this morning!

First of all, I saved money buying bagels that were on the markdown rack. I sprung for the butcher cut bacon, sauteed fresh spinach and fried a sunnyside egg! Now this is the way to start the work week!

Menu Plan Monday ~ September 22, 2014

My husband and I had a terrific time at this year's Conquer Chiari Walk Across America. First of all, Christine Smith, event organizer, did a fabulous job! She had loads of activities, including a Kids Zone, Photo Booth and raffle.

Charles and I found ourselves babysitting so it was a wonderful experience for the little one, that we had in tow.

Christine Smith, Conquer Chiari Walk Across America, Las Vegas event organizer and I hanging out! I've known Christine for 7 years. She lives with Chiari. And when you care about someone, you want to support them!

USPS Delivers A Package...15 Years Later

Fifteen years ago, Olivia Zieglar's mom sent her a package of meaningful family VHS tapes. But she never received it -- until it randomly arrived this past week. Nancy Redd talked to Olivia about the wonderful surprise.

I had the experience of receiving a post card 3 months after it had been mailed. But this is definitely a new one. How about you? Have you ever received mail months or years later?

A Complete Waste of Makeup

1. What is your favorite part of Fall?

I love it when the temps start to cool down. We can actually sit on our balcony for a bit longer, enjoy the flowers and outdoors with a cup of coffee. By late October, I can start opening the windows and enjoy the curtains flowing in the breeze!

2. Do you have anything special planned for Fall?

My husband's 52nd birthday, anniversary of our vow renewal, and not having to run the A/C! Woohoo!!

3. What is Fall like in your area?

In Las Vegas, it can be chilling and windy, at night, so don't forget a light coat!

4. What is your favorite Football team to cheer for(college or professional)?

While I grew up around sports and married a Dallas Cowboy fan, I have no favorite sports team.

5. Do you decorate for Fall? Show us pics!!!
