Spring Cleaning: Master Bedroom and Bath

I spent a few days, washing and drying the curtains, comforter, sorting the bedside tables. I really did let my bedside table contents take over. Even the candle votives got a proper washing. It's a good feeling to know that I've got it under control now!

The addition of new bath towels from Big Lots, allowed me to give our master bath an update for very little money. We also sorted the medicine cabinet and the neglected area of under the sink cupboard.

The Pottery Barn power station just needed a bit of sorting. I actually discovered a set of ear buds that I thought I lost!

Reuse Old Postcards: Summer Theme Garland

While clean, sorting and organizing my craft supply closet, I discovered a batch of postcards people had sent us many years ago! What a treat!

Do people still purchase postcards? I sure hope so because I really enjoyed reading them. Okay. Enough reflecting, let's get to my 'easy breezy project'.

I used a punch hole and kitchen twine for this. But mini clothes pins would have really carried out the vintage look of this garland.

My Story: Losing My Hair Was Devastating

I had begun noticing hair thinning in my late forties but when I hit menopause, decade of pain medications, chronic illness all have left their toll.

Today's Look

Over the years, I've received terrific make up and fashion advice from the HuffPost Live Beauty Team from what shoes to wear to tips on hiring a make up artist.

Recently, Kari, HuffPost Live Hair and Makeup stated that women over 40 shouldn't be afraid of shimmer eye shadows. So today, I decided to give the shimmer eye shadow a try. I also used an Avon Gel Plumful eyeliner on the top and bottom eyes and Coastal Scents eye shadow palette to create this look. I really like the results.

Spring Cleaning: Master Bedroom Closet

I decided to give our master bedroom closet a fresh look. I utilized storage containers that were in the utility closet, moved things around and sorted the clothes and shoes.

I really like how it turned out!

I Prefer Having A Laundry Room

But, my California husband says that it's not a big deal for him. He grew up with the washer and dryer in the garage. I think it's because I grew up on the east coast. People had a laundry room or mud room.

And isn't it fun to be able to decorate the space you're doing the laundry?

"Walk In Wednesday" Week 3

Walk in Faith Wednesdays Week 3 from Proverbs 31 Ministries on Vimeo.

What I love about the Walk in Faith bible study is how I much I find myself nodding in agreement! "Keeping my faith even in the darkest days". I keep saying that to myself as I navigate my current health issues.

So today, I went headed to the pool, swim a bit, enjoyed the sun and was blessed with the sighting of a beautiful white butterfly! "I'm having a good day. I hope you are too"!
