Memorial Day Weekend! The Unofficial Start of Summer

I had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! We started off with taking our oldest granddaughter to Discovery Children's Museum, in Las Vegas. Everyone had an amazing time!

There was so much to see and do, for all ages! We couldn't fit it all in, this visit.

We'll definitely be returning since we missed the temopary exhibit. If you're planning a family trip, you should add the Discovery Children's Museum to your must see list!

I wanted to rock a patriotic tee shirt so I stopped by my favorite thrift shop. I purchased this one for just $2! The cute headband is from Target.

We stopped by Las Vegas Premium Outlet North for some shopping, a quick bite to eat and people watching. Our granddaughter had a great time. We did too!

Hubby had to work, on Memorial Day. So the kids and I packed up, for a power walk to the park. As you can see we had fun, despite the heat.

We stopped off at Ruby Tuesday, for lunch. While enjoying our meal, we toasted all of our family members, that have passed, for their military service.

I decided, this year, to add some patrotic accents to our home, inside and out. I stayed within budget by shopping at Big Lots, Walmart and Home Depot. Hubby and I love how the decorating turned out.
